my cat would not eat it at all, and it is very sticky, so if you have picky cat, it will not be a good choice
My 14 year old cat loves this, she was hesitant at first loves it now.
My old man cat stopped eating and I wanted to get him jump started again. Not sure I should be doing it this way but it seems to work - I sucked it up into a large syringe (put the tip into the upside down tube and suck it into the syringe) and squirt it into his mouth. I give him one teaspoon (it says 1 teaspoon on the syringe) and it seems to work. He doesn't hate it. It's very slimy so it goes right down. He's finicky so if I put it on his food he wouldn't eat it. Hope this helps people having trouble giving it to their cats. I give it in two squirts. Sometimes it can get messy if he doesn't eat it all. But no big deal.
Our cat who we bought this for does not like it at all.
Kairi wouldn't touch it. Im going to donate it to my local shelter. Hopefully they can use it
Unfortunately, I did not get to use this product. My elderly cat, who I bought it for, passed away before I received the order ( no fault of Chewy, the order came sooner than I expected it). I have passed the product on to a friend with several elderly cats, hopefully it will be good for them.
Its mostly a bunch of sugar which is worrying my partner about feline diabetes. I haven't actually weighed her, but she definitely looks like she's filled out more. It's great for hiding her medication in. She's 9 months and was a bit over 5 lbs when she was at the vet, so I've been giving her 1 tsp per day.
Make sure you check the ingredients list. This is vegetable oil and then a ton of various sugars.
Sorry to say that my kitty wouldn't go anywhere near this item. I tried giving it to her plain, mixed in with her canned food, etc. It never passed her lips. She is extremely finicky and not in good health. I don't feel that I can give it a fair review since she is suffering from a lack of appetite and I am trying to find something that she will eat.
Used for a month on my little old skinny cat but saw no difference. So I stopped using it. This was the second caloric supplement I tried.
