Directions for Feeding: All puppies should receive their mother’s milk for at least 2 days, if possible. The colostrum milk gives extra nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases. Warm Esbilac to room or body temperature. Feed puppies 2 tablespoons per 4 oz of body weight daily. Divide the daily feeding amount into equal portions for each feeding. Puppies’ needs will vary and this amount may have to be increased or decreased, depending on the individual. Small and/or weak puppies should be fed every 3 to 4 hours. Larger and/or older puppies can do well being fed every 8 hours. Weigh the puppies daily to assure adequate feeding. Consult your veterinarian for additional advice. When puppies are old enough to lap, begin offering Esbilac in a shallow container. During the 6th week, mix Esbilac with Esbilac 2nd Step Puppy Weaning Food to allow the puppy to be gradually switched to solid food.
Pregnant and lactating females: Feed 2 tablespoons of Esbilac per 5 lbs of body weight daily.
Growing puppies (post weaning), show dogs and/or convalescing dogs: Feed 1 tablespoon of Esbilac per 5 lbs of body weight daily.
Store unopened can in a cool, dry place. Once can is opened, discard if not used within 72 hours. May be frozen in single serving size containers for up to 6 weeks.
Most commercial pet foods include baseline vitamins and nutrients, but some may not have the adequate amount to suit your pet’s exact health needs. Like in humans, vitamins and supplements can help support your pet’s long-term health, regulating everything from digestion to muscle growth. Consult your veterinarian to determine the best vitamins and supplements for your furry friend.
It is recommended to give the suggested dosage based off your pet’s weight. Please refer to the Feeding Instructions tab and consult with your veterinarian for more information.

Out 6 month old decided to stop eating her kibbles. So to make sure she got in her nutrition we poured some on her kibble and she changed her mind it got her back on track
THIS CAN BE A LIFESAVER! I RAISE YORKSHIRE TERRIERS, AND ESBILAC HAS BEEN SO IMPORTANT FOR EMERGENCY FEEDINGS AND SUPPLEMENTING HELP. THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR ME.
My kitten loves this product. I tried different brands and he wouldn’t eat them.
While Esbilac is highly recommended, I'm not sure I feel 100% confident that my Pyrenees pups are getting all the vital protein and vitamins from each can...this can was THE WORST so far, and it won't mix up even when shaken. Bits of the sediment clog up the nipple feeders and its a struggle or the pups to nurse
great product used for my newborn pups Received from chewy on time
I would definitely recommend to ease up some of the feedings on mommy. Some times it takes a toll on them.
The last two litters I’ve used this product for have both ended up with bloody diarrhea and/or white liquid diarrhea that looks exactly like the milk that went in. Both litters have also ended up vomiting. These symptoms can be deadly for puppies and both litters have required lifesaving supportive care. Magically, when I stopped using this product the puppies got better….this used to be a good product but I am moving on to a different puppy supplement.
My puppies loved it as a supplement. I will use the rest when they start eating food in a couple of weeks. This is super convenient as no mixing is involved just shake and use.
this really helped Brooke when she was weaning her pups her first litter of 7 it eased her stress and offered the pups great nutrition! They are now 9 1/2 weeks old and once in a while I still warm it up and feed it to them they absolutely love it as a treat .
We fed this to our AKC Rottweiler puppies to start weaning them and it killed them the next day. After researching this product it has been fined by the FDA for killing animals. They said they changed their formula and continued selling it. It has killed all the tiger cubs at a zoo, 28 kittens at an animal shelter, hundreds of breeder's entire litters, and thousands of baby animals at wildlife reserves. PLEASE don't feed this to your babies. If we had only known. Sometimes lessons are learned through a broken heart.
