Because my cats refuse to eat any type of meds added to their food, I was excited to find this in a gel form. Although I’m sure this product probably does what it claims to do, which is promote a healthy, soft, shiny coat, I can’t recommend it because my cats won’t get near it. My two cats are not fans of anything fish and, unfortunately, the fishy smell is overwhelming - it even makes me gag. For those kitties who like fishy food, this would probably work well, but my two won’t touch it
Didn’t like the taste.
My 2 cats aren’t picky eaters, they will eat any type of treats and food I give them but they wouldn’t touch this even when I tried to mix it in with their favorite foods.
Rough fur to sleek fur
My little female kitty has a form of feline dermatitis, where her skin is very dry and flaky. Almost looks like flea dander, but its not, (no fleas in the desert) and her body cannot produce the natural oils needed. We think due to a bad diet before she became mine. My vet and i have tried everything, i have tried coconut oil, dermoscent oil, different supplements and nothing. I happened to came across the PetAg Skin and Coat Gel. Figured I had nothing to lose. I tried to feed it to my girl, she said no. I happened to have some empry gel pill capsules, syringed some into the gel capsules, ans the rest is history. Her fur is looking so much better, its getting soft and has a sheen to it now. I give her a capsule 1x a day and the dry flakes are few and far in between. I'm very happy i have found this gel supplement. I would definitely recommend this product.
Healthy Skin for Cats
I used this product to help my cat's skin clear up his allergic reaction to food that I will no longer feed him. I used wet cat food and a drop of this stuff and by the end of the bottle, my cat looked so healthy and felt super soft. I truly recommend this product if your cat is itchy, has allergic reactions to foods, and or if they bit themselves because it hurts them to be pet.
Made my cats literally gag
My kitties have dry skin and would not take the pills the vet gave them. So, we tried this supplement. We put just a tiny dap out for them and they both gagged. Little Iyla spat up a bit. I thought it was just a fluke and tried putting another tiny amount out ...they smelled it and ran off. This product does not pass the good for my cats' test.
I have a 3 year old long hair cat and she absolutely hates this product. She refuses to take it and gags at the sight. Could be that she prefers other smells, flavors or textures but I definitely will not keep trying to get her to take it
10/20/19 I only have used product this month so I can’t recommend this product I will tell anyone to use this first time Shake it up good and refrigerate overnight before using this product and use a spoon it is very sticky Don’t put on your cats paw to lick of I don’t know why these companies say put on cats paws to lick off ingredients good but don’t use a lot lots of oily residue even in Refrigerator shake each time and 1 cat out of 4 likes it.
