Directions for Mixing: Gently stir or shake one part powdered KMR into two parts warm water (a part may be a teaspoon, tablespoon or cup). Do not mix more KMR than can be consumed in 24 hours. Do not use a blender. Reconstituted KMR should be kept refrigerated.
Directions for Feeding: All kittens should receive their mother’s milk for at least 2 days, if possible. The colostrum milk gives extra nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases. Warm reconstituted KMR to room or body temperature before serving. Feed kittens 2 tablespoons of liquid KMR per 4 oz of body weight daily. The daily feeding amount should be divided into equal portions for each feeding. Kittens' needs will vary and this amount may have to be increased or decreased, depending on the individual. Young and/or weak kittens should be fed every 3 to 4 hours. Older kittens can do well being fed every 8 hours. Weigh the kittens daily to assure adequate feeding. Consult your veterinarian for additional advice. When kittens are old enough to lap, begin offering reconstituted KMR in a saucer. During the 6th week mix reconstituted KMR with KMR 2nd Step Kitten Weaning Food. Use of the KMR and 2nd Step will allow the kitten to be gradually switched to solid food.
Pregnant and lactating queens: Feed 2 teaspoons of KMR powder per 5 lbs of body weight daily.
Growing kittens already on solid food, show cats and/or convalescing cats: Feed 1 teaspoon of KMR powder per 5 lbs of body weight daily by top dressing food.
Unopened powder should be kept in a cool, dry place. Reconstituted KMR must be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Opened powder can be refrigerated for up to 3 months, or can be frozen for up to 6 months to preserve freshness.
Why should I include vitamins & supplements in my pet’s diet?

Consult your veterinarian to determine the best vitamins and supplements for your furry friend.
How often should I give this supplement to my pet?
It is recommended to give the suggested dosage based off your pet’s weight. Please refer to the Feeding Instructions tab and consult with your veterinarian for more information.
Is this supplement safe to use with the medication my pet is currently taking?

Great Product!
By Stenowriter51 on Jan 29, 2021
This is a wonderful product to mix with warm water if you are feeding a kitten, ill cat, or a non-thriving cat. My cat loves it and looks forward to getting it. It supplements his regular, canned cat food every evening. Chewy.com is the only reliable place for me to get it, as the ag stores locally don't carry it. Chewy is excellent!

Doesn't Taste Like Liquid . . . .
By Dixie on Dec 15, 2020
Years ago, I bought a can of this powdered KMR and remember throwing it out, since the orphaned weaned kittens I was feeding canned KMR to wouldn't touch the powdered stuff. Now, years later, I was using the canned KMR as a supplement food with an elderly cat who wasn't eating right, but only had two cans in the pantry. It turned out to be out-of-stock everywhere, too. (PegAg said in an e-mail the Covid crisis was keeping them from getting some necessary ingredients.)Hence, I thought I would try the powdered again. It was a total waste of money. I've mixed it with water, I've mixed it with milk, I've put in more powder, I've put in less powder . . . nothing I do will get my old cat to drink Years ago, I bought a can of this powdered KMR and remember throwing it out, since the orphaned weaned kittens I was feeding canned KMR to wouldn't touch the powdered stuff. Great product
By Frosty on Jan 8, 2021
Easy to mix up & the kitten loves it. Reasonably priced.Very healthy ingredients which promote a happier, healthier kitten. I used this product previously on a kitten when a veterinarian's treatment was not working. Young abandoned or adopted kittens need milk to survive as water lacks what the mother cat's milk would have given them.

hard to mix
By AmandaK on Dec 5, 2020
We had orphaned baby kittens that had to be bottle fed. We put them on this formula and they loved it. The bad part about it is that it's hard to mix. No matter what you do, it clumps and it leaves residue inside the bottles. It does contain the probiotics that they need along with the right nutrition. There is a liquid formula that is way more convenient and it's smooth but it doesn't have probiotics in it. I switched to it but had to switch back to this powder because they got bad diarrhea on the liquid. The probiotics in the powder cleared that right up.

Rescued babies
By Trace on Dec 27, 2020
Rescued multiple litters from a hoarder; average 2 weeks old. KMR has been a Godsend! Easily mixes smooth with a whisk. I also top-dress the canned kitten food with it. One kitten wouldn’t take it without ground (powdered) kitten chow mixed in, but all the others were all over it!

Perfect for cats of all ages.
By MomOf3Cats on Dec 31, 2020
I have a kitten that is around 10 to 12 weeks old. I bought this KMR to give him the extra nutrients he needs to grow into a healthy cat. Very easy to mix with very warm water. And my kitty loves it. I have always used this for all of my cats when they were kittens.

Best Kitten Milk
By Chelsea288 on Nov 14, 2020
I’ve been using KMR kitten formula for four kittens I’ve been raising since a day in a half old and have been thriving off of this. Their just now past their 4 weeks old mark so I’ll be weaning them soon to wet food. I highly recommend this for any kittens.

Essential to have on hand
By kittenfosterCynthia on Dec 1, 2020
I never know when an orphan litter will come to me. I keep this in my storage. Then it's always amazing how much they need so I have to order in large amounts. Healthy kittens are the goal and so far KMR fills our needs.
