If possible all kittens should receive colostrums by nursing on their mother for the first several days. Weighing kittens at the beginning and every three days will help determine the amount that should be fed. Bottle fed kittens should be fed one teaspoon (5 mL) per 4 ounces (115 g) of body weight every 3-4 hours. Feeding amounts and frequency will vary according to individual needs.
Directions for Mixing: Mix one tablespoon powder with two tablespoons warm water to make approximately 2 1/3 tablespoons 7 teaspoons/35 ml of liquid. This amount will feed a 4 oz kitten for approximately 1 day.
Directions for Feeding: If possible all kittens should receive colostrum by nursing on their mother for the first several days. Weighing kittens at the beginning and every 3 days will help to determine the amount that should be fed. Bottle fed kittens should be fed 1 teaspoon per 4 ounces of body weight every 3-4 hours. Feeding amounts and frequency vary according to individual needs. Smaller and weaker kittens may need increased feeding frequency. As kittens become older the frequency may be decreased and the amount per feeding increased. At 4 to 6 weeks you may begin offering reconstituted PetLac Kitten in a shallow bowl for the kittens to lap. Do not discontinue bottle feeding until the kittens are eating well on their own. Weaned kittens: Feed 1 teaspoon of PetLac Kitten powder per 5 lbs. of body weight. Pregnant and lactating females: Feed 2 teaspoons of PetLac Kitten powder per 5 lbs. of body weight daily mixed in regular food. Consult your veterinarian for additional advice. NOTE: Follow recommended feeding amounts in directions shown to avoid digestive upset caused by overfeeding.
Storage: Unopened powder should be kept in a cool, dry place. Reconstituted liquid must be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Opened powder can be refrigerated for up to 3 months, or can be frozen for up to 6 months to preserve freshness.
Most commercial pet foods include baseline vitamins and nutrients, but some may not have the adequate amount to suit your pet’s exact health needs. Like in humans, vitamins and supplements can help support your pet’s long-term health, regulating everything from digestion to muscle growth. Consult your veterinarian to determine the best vitamins and supplements for your furry friend.
It is recommended to give the suggested dosage based off your pet’s weight. Please refer to the Feeding Instructions tab and consult with your veterinarian for more information.

Mix up some and added it to some pate cat food for a stray kitten. He was JUST starting to eat solid/soft foods when his mother disappeared, never to return to him. Anyway, immediately after eating the mixture he projectile vomited it all back up! Later on I gave him some of the pate food without the milk replacement added and he was just fine. Maybe this stuff just isnt for all kittens. He is now around 4-5 months and I'm happy to say that he thrives and is a happy boy! Soon it'll be time for him to get fixed so he can join the rest of the tribe outdoors.
Rose begs for this every morning. Rose was adopted but I have no clue how old she eas. She's very young but she is thriving with the help of this.
So got one kitten at five week's old then his sister she was small, weak got this for her we only gave it to her three time's a week, now she is strong and has grown a lot we gave it to her brother he got much bigger so this will work they love it....
The milk replacer was great. Cheaper than other brands, not bad quality. I used to buy kmr but its triple the price now. Ive bottle fed kittens for years, and this milk is great. Will buy again
I rescued a week old kitty with no mommy and he's now 6 weeks old. He loves this PetLac and it is a lot cheaper than trying to buy it in the stores out here.
Not a problem with the product, it's good, but it's probably not a good idea to ship it in a box with a 35lb container of litter and no real spacer. Crushed the can, lost about a third of the product.
I’ve ordered this item multiple times before for rescues. Why is it worth over $8 all of a sudden? It was just over $5, then went up to over $6, followed by over $7 and now it’s over $8 - pushing $9. Why is this?
PetLac is much more economical than KMR and - this is huge: long-time KMR users know how hard it is to get your bottles clean; it just adheres to all surfaces making it very difficult to sanitize the bottles and nipples. PetLac comes off easily. I've never had a kitten refuse it so no problem there either.
I ordered this product and a nursing bottle from here because of the advertised "1 to 2 day delivery". I took in a pregnant stray cat and know that not all Mommy's want to be Mom's, especially strays. It took a week to get these things. The delivery was 2 days but it took 5 days for the order to be filled. Do NOT order these types of products from here if u will need them in an emergency. Thank God my stray Queen didn't need this for her babies. If u think ur goin to need something within a day or 2 do NOT order from here right now. They might have been better before COVID19...but not so much after it. I really hope they get better because the prices and products r great!
This is less than half the cost at any local store or their online stores. Kitten took to this instantly. Saved her life as she was abandoned at about 3 weeks old.
