Description

The PetArmor 30 Day Cat Calming Collar features proven pheromone technology that safely and effectively calms cats during stressful situations such as thunderstorms, fireworks, travel and visitors in the home; it even works to help minimize separation anxiety. The pheromone in the collar mimics that produced by mother cats to calm their young, and reduces stress-related behaviors such as inappropriate marking, destructive behavior, clawing and anti-social behavior. This collar features a gentle lavender chamomile fragrance and continues to release calming pheromones for up to 30 days.

Key Benefits
  • Unique pheromone technology safely and effectively calms cats during stressful situations including loud noises, travel or visitors, and also helps minimize separation anxiety.
  • Mimics the pheromone used by mother cats to calm their young and helps reduce unwanted stress-related and anti-social behaviors.
  • Features a gentle lavender chamomile fragrance that continues to release calming pheromones for up to 30 days.
  • Presents no long-term side effects; most cats will exhibit improved behavior within the first two weeks, while others may take up to one month.
  • Safe and effective for use on cats and kittens of all ages and breeds with neck sizes up to 15 inches.
Precautions

Remove the collar before shampooing your cat and replace it after the cat's coat is dry. Do not use collar on cats with extensive skin lesions.

We have 2 cats (7 & 1 year) The older cat was not to happy about our new addition, she stays under our bed other then to eat or use the litter box. Her & other cat have are now best buds, however she will not allow us to clip her nails, she does jump op on my husband to get brushed. Was making an appt. for the vet to get her calm enough to trim her nails.I bought the collar, put it on her & within one day we started to see results. She let me clip her nails, lays up on our bed & grooms the younger one. I leave our door open for the 1 yr. old, to my amazement found her @ the bottom of the stairs watching out for the younger one, we also have two dogs so she is keeping close eye. Calming Collar

    By on

Vet says Gunner has asthma and PTSD from a previous not-so-good experience. Measure old collar, making sure you can get it over kittie's head. My BIG BOY it's 12", a little big but he can't get it off. Prepare collar first: buckle it closed and trim off excess end (impossible with cat-in-hand). With scissors nearby, lay on top of cat with just enough weight to hold him down so he can't escape. Slip collar over his head and cut off old collar. Only trick is to catch cat unsuspecting! Last: wait until cat is finished shunning you and forgives you for such an indignity.

    Super strong scent

    By on

Unfortunately, my cat hates this. The smell is very strong right out of the box. I let it air out for a day or two before putting it on her but she immediately wrinkled up her nose and ran off. I kept it on her for a week to see if there would be any improvement but I didn't notice anything except the smell! I know her nose is more sensitive than mine so I can't imagine being forced to wear it around all day every day.

    Normally Works Great

    By on

Normally I Buy this locally & Have had Excellent Results. Locally purchased, this collar has a lot of powder on it when opened has no cracks in it. However the one I purchased Here had No Powder on it at all when opened & had cracks in the collar. My old used collar I had as a spare looked better than this New one. The "New" collar didn't seem to be as effective as the ones that I had previously purchased either. Overall, I Love the collar, I just think the one I got here was either Old or defective. I would definitely recommend this brand.

    Noticed a difference!!

    By on

I've tried other types of collars and they seem to work however this one takes the cake. It's cheaper than other brands AND I can tell a difference in my cats behavior with this. Typically one will growl and hiss at the other if she even looks at her but right now we are all chilling in the same room together. Will totally keep buying this product!

Was unsure, but it is working

    By on

We have a cat that is mostly in a bad mood. He Growls and hisses at us all the time. He is 8 years old and even though he does this, we still love him to death. He has times he is very loving ( sort of bipolar). Lately he has gotten a bit worse, so I decided to give this product a try. It did not work the first week, but he is definitely chilled out this week. Even the kids agree. He seems more content than he usually does. I will keep using this product if I think it is helping him be a happier cat. Not every product works for every cat, but I am glad this was an easy solution for us. I do agree the collar is very hard to get on and there is no breakaway in case he gets caught on something We have a cat that is mostly in a bad mood. He Growls and hisses at us all the time. ">30 Days Breakaway Collar"

    By on

">30 Days Breakaway Collar" is basically what this was. The white pheromone power and scent barely lasted a week. The flimsy collar itself is ready to fall off after 8 days. My cat's demeanor is unaffected. :( Lose-Lose-Lose for the Off-Brand.

    Not impressed

    By on

I was under the impression it would help my more aggressive male cat leave my female cat alone according to my vet. They have both been wearing the collars for several weeks if not a month and the behavior hasn’t changed much.

    It worked! Ichabod's calmer!

    By on

Ichabod's a 38lb (no fat) hybrid with an attitude! Very aggressive, but great guard cat, but nasty towards my other males. Started calming in 2 days, however the 15 inch collar barely fits his huge neck. Ordering more!

    Momo didn't like it!

    By on

My vet recommended a pheromone collar for my cats. I tried one out on my younger cat first. I purchased {different brand} from Chewy and he actually didn't mind wearing it. After the first month, I bought 2 PetArmor collars for both my cats. Momo hated this one. It has a stronger smell than the {competitor's} and has a lot of powdery substance on it. He kept trying to groom himself under his chin and on his chest and he was constantly wet there. Mimi is difficult to catch and won't be held. It was difficult to get the collar on her, and when I did, I couldn't get the free end of the collar under the buckle part. She was miserable for 2 days until I finally took it off her.
