HOW TO APPLY

Treating your home with PetArmor Home flea and tick treatments is easy. Just follow these steps each time you use the product.

BEFORE YOU APPLY

Applying correctly starts with purchasing the correct product.

Read the entire label carefully before using any product in your home. For additional help or more information, our social care team is available to answer your questions Mon-Friday, 8am to 4pm CST. Or you can call us at 1-888-908-8425.

APPLYING THE PRODUCT

Shake container well before using. One 16 oz. canister contains enough powder to treat 1 to 2 rooms (200-400 square feet). When using this product at a lower rate, allow the powder to remain in place for 24 hours before vacuuming. Apply powder more heavily to areas of flooring or furniture on which pets spend most of their time.

Carpets: Shake powder evenly across surface. Brush lightly with broom to force powder deep into carpet where fleas and their larvae exist. Wait at least 60 minutes before (lightly) vacuuming to remove visible surface powder. For maximum efficacy, delay vacuuming for up to 24 hours.

Upholstery: Remove loose cushions. Sprinkle along creases and into corners. Use a brush to lightly work powder into folds and creases. Vacuum to remove visible powder on surfaces. Do not use on exposed fabric without first testing on a hidden surface for effects on color (staining) or texture. If powder adheres to a spot, brush out and remove with a vacuum immediately. When emptying vacuum bag after use, wrap contents or disposable bag in several layers of newspaper and discard in trash. Treat pets with a registered flea and tick control product prior to re-entry.

FAQ

Can I Walk On The Carpets Before The Petarmor Home Carpet Powder Has Been Vacuumed Up? Can My Pet Be In The House While The Product Is Still Down?

We do not recommend walking on the carpets while the powder is still down, and you will want to keep all pets off of the carpets until you have vacuumed the powder up. As long as you are able to restrict your pet to an area of the home that has not been treated with the powder, the animal can be in the home while the carpets are being treated. Once the powder has been vacuumed from the carpets, you, your children, and your pets are safe to return to your normal routine.

The Packaging Instructs To Let The Powder Stay In Place For 24 Hours Before Vacuuming. I Have No Way To Keep Myself, Children Or Pets Off Of The Carpets For This Time Frame.

Although the product will be most effective if you are able to leave it down for a full 24 hours, this is not mandatory. We do recommend that you leave the powder down for at least 1 hour before vacuuming it back up.

How Long Will The Powder Kill Adult Fleas And Ticks?

This product will kill adult fleas and ticks for 14 to 30 days. The product will kill flea eggs, flea larvae, and flea pupae for up to 365 days.

    Kills fleas in TX

    By on

I vacuumed & then layed this on the carpet areas. I left it for a week before vacuuming again. I also changed the flea/tick topical product on my dogs. With this combo it killed the fleas quick!!! I now order it & keep available for the heavy infestation summer seasons. It also smells very good!

    Smells great at least

Havent noticed fleas on the ground- but my pets definitely still have fleas. I feel like I've tried everything minus the extremely expensive prescription products. Oh well for the price of this powder it probably does its service of driving out fleas from the carpet and is smells pretty good too.

    Works, BUT

Doesn't kill fleas long term. Found out a flea trap of dove soap water in a shallow pan below a suspended bright light attracts and kills fleas more effectively and cheaper.

Useless for what I need it for

    By on

I'm unhappy with this product because when you read the directions, it says Not for Broad Carpet use. Well that's what i bought it for. What good is a product you can only use on a 3 x 3 foot area when my whole apt is carpeted? That won't do anything to help with a flea infestation.

    Not sure it worked

This powder promises to kill fleas and their eggs. I have been dealing with a flea infestation...and I obught this twice, but it is hard to tell at this point if it is working or not...I guess I' will update in a month or so if I know more. No dramatic results that I can see....

    Best for carpets.

    By on

I have been using PetArmor carpet powder for a few years now, IT WORKS GREAT ! I have 15 cats and though I use a good generic spot on flea treatment and I spray incecticide around the yard in front where they spend most of their time during the spring, summer and fall they will still drag in a flea or two. PetArmor carpet powder does a better job then the sprays that claim to last seven months. After every weekley vacuume I sprinkle a light coat and having a flea free carpet helps keep the fleas off my cats. Note: I have a cat door in the front of my house so they come in and out as they please. (On the furniture I use the PetArmor spray).

    Worked well

I applied the powder the evening before and then vacuumed in the morning. Left a nice, fresh smell. I can't tell if it killed fleas, but it seems to have.
