Really thought I would like this
The power cord has no waterproof cover for washing the fountain. I can overlook it not being dishwasher safe, but even hand washing is a pain. The pump doesn't come out and I feel like it will cause issues if I get soap into the pump so I have to be extra careful there as well when washing it. The tank itself is not as large as I had imagined it would be and the catnip ball is worthless as my cats don't even notice it is there! The water never hits the back of the splash plate so dust, cat hair, etc builds up if you don't splash water on it regularly to rinse it. The window to see the water level is on a downward tilt so you have to pick the fountain up just to see the water level. The little spaceship doesn't come apart so no way to really wash it well other than put soap/water in it and shake it up.
From Water Dish to Fountain
Just purchased the fountain because I was tried of filling his dish twice a day seven days a week. My dog Chompers is fifteen years old and hates running water (he hates baths and the rain). Three hours after assembling the fountain he was using it happily. The fountain is easy to assemble, good height, and quiet. There is a cute light at the base of fountain that works as a night light and indicator when it needs to be refilled. FYI: My Chompers is a male Maltese Toy Poodle
Very Pleased
I've used other water fountains that were larger, cumbersome and difficult to clean. But not this one. It's more compact but still holds plenty of water. Unit is easy pick up and rinse out, along with an easy-to-rinse filter, when refilling the tank. No separate add-on tank. The visible water level window is very helpful, and another surprise feature is that the light flashes when the water level is low, but no where near running dry. Mocha loves drinking from the flowing stream, and she also drinks from the small pool of water in the shallow bowl. Very quiet as well. Strongly recommend.
DO NOT use catnip ball
It took a lot of work to get the piece open where I put the ball into, and when I did, it was a muck of MOLD!! Do not put that thing in it! My cats like to drink from it, but as others have said, it continuously blinks. It won’t stop after thorough cleaning and filter changing. And by thorough I mean whatever I can clean, aka the motor piece does not disassemble.
Pump broke after 5 months
The pump broke after 5 months. I did have to clean this every 2-3 days because of bacteria buildup from use. There are some plastic parts that make it difficult to clean thoroughly. The pump itself got pink slime in it and while you can remove part of the pump you can't get at all the crevices. On the plus side, my cat liked to drink from it and it was cute. I'm switching to a sensor water spigot for the sink (aquapurr). Hopefully no cleaning and smooth sailing!

The big cat loves it
The big cat in the house is always looking for some fresh water, he will even meow to ask me to turn on the tap for him. With this I can let it run and the cat significantly pees more often than before which means he drinks more water now! He's getting old I hope this can keep his kidneys healthy. The small cat is not that interested in drinking running water but she enjoys watching the fountain lol. She drinks less from it but after seeing the big cat drinking water she somehow gets it. If your cat is hesitating you can try leading them to the fountain with treats. One thing that can be improved is that the cap for the catnip ball as my cats do not have a significant reaction to it(probably the smell doesn't come out as much)

Super Good
I have a water fountain already. However I am so lucky to buy this spaceship style one again as it is much more quiet than the previous one. It also has purple light, beautiful. My cats love it. Me too. Highly recommended.
Don’t purchase
I purchased this water fountain about 14 days ago and for the first week it was great. Now just randomly stops working even though it has water in it and is put together properly. You really get what you pay for
