Extremely Unsafe
I purchased this in an effort to be more consistent between family members feeding our pets. Upon arrival I tested the weight several times and it seemed within the margin of error. I sat it up in the pantry to show family members later. Terrifyingly, my toddler has seen me measuring and wanted a closer look when I had my back turned. He came to me with a button battery in his hand. I was horrified. Asked where he found it and he took me to the measuring cup. I searched all over when I saw 4 button batteries come with this cup. I asked repeatedly if he had put one in his mouth or ate one. Thankfully I found the remaining 2 on the floor and one in the box. When examining closer, there is no screw on the battery compartment to prevent the button batteries from easily popping out. I would never recommend this product for anyone with children or pets. It took very little effort to open the battery cover.

Was putting in the battery And the lid components broke now I can use returning. What a sham chewy been doing down hill. When I order from here I am always having to take back at least one item on almost every order and that’s including dog food.
Does Not Work
I followed instructions well and tried to make it work many times, but this item is not meant to be a hand held scale. If you place it down on a flat surface and poor something in, it could work, but it is still really touchy. If you are looking to use as you scoop, you would be better off with a different product. The reading moves with any touch of the scale or cup and keeps moving as I scoop giving me different readings within seconds of each other.
Choice for product
You my puppy this was not the right choice he eats a cup 1/2 of dry food mixed with moist and due to his size and the shape of the cup it's easier just to use a measuring cup for the full amount
Must Have Item For All Pet Owners
This should go on every pet owner's shopping list! Its so easy to use and I can see why my fur baby has put on weight, because now that I've been using it, I can see that I've obviously been over-feeding her. Even if you only have one pet, I would recommend the two-cup version, as its easy to reach in to the cup to remove kibble should there be too much and you never know when you might add another pet to your household!
Not accurate
Not measuring accurately - 2.6 ounces of one type of food lined up with the scoop measurement (after many many tries). 2.6 oz of another food (both supposed to be the same - 3/4 cup) - I filled up the scoop with over 1 cup of food and couldn’t get more than 2 ounces. Both foods were supposed to be 3.5 ounces by weight to 8 fluid ounces (1 cup scoop). Scale was on a granite countertop - flat, level. Tried many many times re-zeroing the scale with the empty scoop on the scale over and over. Had to give up because the doggos couldn’t take that it took that long to get their dinner ready.
Average use
The scale in itself can be a little tricky. You really do need to keep it on a leveled surface to get an accurate reading. the cup is convenient overall, just make sure to tare it off the scale prior to scooping the kibble. Seems sturdy, would recommend as a quick solution for weighing food but not something I would buy again.
Works great
If you need to measure food, this is great for it. All the different measurement options and super easy to use. Turn on, read the measure and your done.
broken - twice
Unfortunately, this was not functional. I called the company that made it - they were great - sent another - it wasn't functional either.
Great product
Very helpful to measure out my puppy's daily ration of food. Easy to use and very well thought out.
