My cats love these treats! They definitely help them chill out too. The recommended dose is a little more than what I’d prefer (they each get 8-10 treats to get any effect at all), but sometimes I just need them to calm down and take a nap. They’ve been especially helpful while traveling. One cat gets anxious and cries, the other vomits. The vomiting cat doesn’t get any, but it helps the crying one calm down and rest during the drive!
These calming treats help my 4 boys stay calm. My girls do not care for these but all 3 of them are very laid back. I give these treats everyday and I have seen a big difference in them. They are more relaxed and well behaved. They do not seem to be a rough on one another when they are playing now. I definitely recommend giving these a try. The longer they are on these the better the results.
Our active cat ate maybe three of these morsels and was not interested after that. I noticed absolutely no change. The anxious cat wanted nothing to do with them. I threw them outside for the neighborhood critters where they sat for a few days until the rain “melted” them.
My 2 cats fight like crazy and one of them has terrible anxiety. Got these hoping they would be a little calmer but these treats didn't change their mood and my other cat threw up twice after giving the treats so I stopped. They do like the taste though and hope other people will have better success than I did with this product
I needed something to calm my cat for trips to the vet. These utterly failed in relaxing him for the car ride. He loved the taste but multiple treats later found him as agitated as ever once we got into the vehicle. The directions on the bag say to give a cat one chew per 1 lb of weight for cats older than 6 months so that was his dosage. I followed the directions to no avail, giving the treats plenty of time to do their thing. My cat definitely approves of the taste, but as calming agents, I heartily disapprove. Since they're not meant to be treats I can't keep them around in that capacity. I'm not sure what to do with them other than toss them in the trash with the rest of the valueless refuse. I'm glad I at least gave PetHonesty Calming Chews a try as I now know what not to waste time and money on in the future. I'm going to ask the vet for suggestions in keeping my cat calm on rides instead of again experimenting with these or any other "calming" supplements.
Love these calming treats, our one cat is VERY anxious and often attacks our other cat. These really help calm him down. Reason for 4 stars though is how many of them we have to give him for it to be effective. Serving size is based on cat weight and we often have to give around 10 to calm him down so we go through them very quickly.
I should have given a zero rating. My cat wouldn’t eat them so I don’t know if they work and after smelling them in the bag, I don’t blame my cat for not eating them. They are also too expensive.
My cat recently had a UTI issue diagnosed as struvite crystals. I suspected it was related to stress, as he had recently had a grooming appointment. After days of meds for treatment he had a low appetite and even more stress, and these treats perked him back up. Within 3-5 days he was his old self again. He loves these and gobbles them down, as does my cat who doesn't really need them.
These are the first calming treats my cats actually eat. I’ve noticed our aggressive and territorial cat is much more calm and affectionate. For these reasons I think they are worth the price.
I tried this as part of a strategy to help my 4 year old Leo relax since all of a sudden, one if my 3 year old males has been going after him. Not only does he walk away from these but no one else will touch them either. Better results with crushing up T-Calm and Purina Calm. These are just useless.
