Much better quality than the cheaper cardboard houses but could use additional support. My smaller cat can climb in and jump on and off with ease, but my larger cat (~14 pounds, none of it fat) caved in the middle top piece (in front of the 2nd level entry) simply by jumping off of it. I’m still going to go for this brand over the others, but I wish the scratchers/roofs had as much support as the walls.
I bought this for my parrot and she is having a wonderful time with it. I just really wish I could purchase refill inserts because paying to replace the whole thing every time she is able to go through them is too expensive and also wasteful because the walls are still intact
I've had some cheaper models of cardboard structures for cats that only lasted a few months with my crew. This one is much, much sturdier, with lots of spaces for cats to enjoy. It has gotten a lot of use. My only wish would be an option to buy replacement scratching surfaces to extend the lifespan.
This was easy to assemble and has plenty of scratching surfaces to keep her content. Good deal and great for her
Well disenchanted. Obviously it is almost all cardboard but the walls come off all the time. My cat has fallen several times from the second floor because the boards do not fit well. If he is on the first floor, the boards also fall. Fortunately they are not heavy. It is beautiful but you have to "go back" to put it together all the time. It is not worth the money. Better to buy the cheap scratchers and go.
Safe to say my 1 year old cat is never leaving this thing. I sprinkled a little cat nip in the box and it’s his new favorite play/sleep area. Highly recommend buying for the price being low and use being high. He also loves scratching all in it and my furniture no longer gets scratched!
I got this for my cat after the last 1 I bought lasted a few months... but this one is just falling apart ...the inside scratch pads don't even stay they keep falling ... this house was poorly made .. my cat isn't even big shes about 9 pounds ... I will not purchase this again
I had a coupon so I bought this. I don’t think it’s worth the full price otherwise. It’s a really cute little piece of furniture, and my cats enjoy it on a fairly regular basis.
One of our two Devon Rex cats was immediately interested and used this “box” for about a week. Since then the novelty has worn off. However the idea is great. It’s just that my picky cats need some action to keep their interest for any length of time.
My senior cat hopped on the scratchboards before I could even put it together! It took some coaxing with treats to build her confidence with climbing up and down, as the step is a little shallow. But now she enjoys watching over us from her new kitty kingdom. Happy with the sturdiness of the build. If you have younger, more energetic cats, you may want to fasten or adhere it to the floor due to its light weight. I'm also glad that the scratchpads are reversible. In my opinion, that makes it worth the price!
