my Matilda had a dental this past summer and I found these as an option for her in addition to toothpaste. She likes the scent/taSte and sits well for me when I clean her teeth. This helps keep them clean between dentals (every 2-3 years). She's nine years old and still has all her teeth so brushing works!
I still use toothpaste and toothbrush but this is making my dog more cooperative. I try to massage her gums gently and she has taken liking to it. While massaging, i also remove some food from her teeth. Works out well for us.
I was actually amazed to see a visible difference after using one wipe. I’ve used enzymatic toothpaste not as often as I should for my girl. She’s 4 now and you can tell. I wish dental cleaning was more affordable but I understand. My girl loves her greenies but I don’t think they actually help. I’ve worked really hard with her using cooperative care all of her life. She’s so good to let me do whatever I need to do. This tooth wipe was no different. I let her sniff it and lick my fingers and I got to business. I did a tooth and let her think about it. She was fine with me doing the other teeth knowing she’d get her favorite treat after. I will continue using these every day and hopefully we can postpone the deep dental cleaning again. I’m not sure why they’re pricey on here compared to at my local store. I got them for under $6 there. But for the results I hope to see, this price is justified. I took these pictures tonight. Don’t judge her teeth because it’s only the first wipe. I just wanted to show how a massive piece of plaque came off.
It feels super satisfying to make your cat's teeth squeaky clean right before bed. My cat's teeth smells much better. My cat got used to this so easily.
She is very sensitive and doesn't like her teeth brushed, but these she will tolerate!
Dog approves of taste & me using but I was not overly impressed. He has very little dental plaque & this does not do much to remove what little there is. I will keep trying until run out & judge then so still may be positive.
