Not only does this not work as intended, but the plastic broke with the first use! It's utterly ridiculous to have a button to remove the fur from the bristles and then for it not to do it's job. It only pushes it up about halfway and then you have to try and remove it by hand. The plastic that is suppose to push the fur off the metal bristles is cheap and broke in 2 different spots after the first use. I ultimately finished brushing her with the gloves I have. Waste of money. Do not recommend. For reference, this was used on a short haired dog - no matting, no tangles, nothing, and it failed.
I like the brush but it doesn’t push the hair forward enough to reallly get it out like it is designed to do.
Great for 1-2x per week soft brushing for long haired dogs. Very hard brush but works the best to remove hair
This product should be on clearance from CHEWY, if not already. That'd explain why it costs so much LESS than Furminator. Reason Why: The uncoated sharp end of bristles, My Dog Hates It ! and won't let me use it on her at all...and after trying it myself, I SEE WHY. This brush is inferior. Sorry-that's Truth...
Love this brush! Does a wonderful job and self cleaning feature is amazing! Highly recommend!!!
My dog gets excited everytime I take the brush out to pass it on his hair
My dog hates this brush. I can only get 1 sweep and he runs away. Clearly the bristles are too long or too sharp. Would not recommend.
I knew the product was cheaply made, so I wasn't expecting it to be a long-lasting item, especially since it has a mechanism to make fur removal easier. The problem right from the get-go was that the mechanism didn't work properly such that the pins don't completely hide when I go to remove the fur, so I still have to contend with removing fur from the pins, just like with a regular brush.
The first day I got it, the spring mechanism broke off right away, so I could still use the brush, then about the 3rd time of using it, I could not get the cover that lifts off back on to release the hair, the bristles were all bent, so the cover does not line up. Will have to purchase another brush.
Since using the brush I have noticed less hair flying around. I have a white dog poodle, Maltese mix I also noticed that it is helping with matting.
