Make sure the filter is fully soaked before the water fountain is turned on; otherwise water may not be dispersed through the filter smoothly and spill out. To prevent the activated carbon dust (which will not harm your pets) from shedding into water, please soak the filter in water for 15 minutes and rinse it thoroughly under running water before use. According to your pet's drinking frequency and the number of pets using the fountain, change the filter every 2-4 weeks.

My 5 cat's really enjoy this fountain. super quiet and easy to clean. I like the little light feature it has that comes on at night. I would totally buy this fountain again. my cat's would give this fountain 5 out of 5 mice.
