Still getting the hang of it, but it seems to work

By Sloane on Oct 19, 2021

My test run with this out of the box was successful, the device came charged so I was able to try it right away. It’s not absolutely silent, but it’s a fairly inoffensive noice, sort of a high pitched whirring sound. My dog was unfazed by the noise, but I don’t have experience with another mail grinder to make any comparison to as far as sound and her reactivity go. The guard is a little awkward to work with, but I’m currently attributing that to lack of experience with the tool, as I’ve never used a nail grinder before with any of my pets. There’s kind of a smell of burnt hair when i grind her nails, but I’m assuming that’s her nails and not the device, as it doesn’t produce odor otherwise. Despite the smell, her nails don’t seem to get hot terribly fast, and she was very tolerant of me working on a couple of her nails. The wireless feature is nice, and the switch to turn it on and off is easy to find and to operate. No complaints so far, I’m looking forward to leaving the old dog nail clippers to rot in a drawer. … more

    Easy to use

By RonnyAcosta on Sep 28, 2021

First off, the noise level of this nail grinder isn't as loud as other nail grinders I've owned previously. My dogs hated the other ones because of the noise but with this one, they don't mind it as much. I use this for my dogs and cats and the attachment on the nail grinder helps with placement of their claws. With my smaller dog and cats, I keep the attachment on. With my bigger dog, I can keep it on for 1 nail but usually have to take the attachment off because he claws are too big to fit through the slot. When it comes to holding, the whole grinder itself is very ergonomic and fits in my hand a lot better than my old ones. Easy to clean and rinse off when needed. I can't give an exact length of time because I've owned this for about 3 weeks now and I' still on the same charge. I use this once a week for 5 animals too. … more

If I Could Give This Product Six Stars, I Would!

By LorriM on Sep 29, 2021

Wow! This is my first time trimming my two dogs' nails. I have a smaller pound puppy and a large hunting dog for reference. My first impression upon receiving the grinder was how nicely packaged, compact and pretty the product was! The directions were brief but clear and included photos, which is right up my alley. It came charged and ready to go. I was surprised to note how quiet it was, which was helpful when it came time to work with the dogs. It comes with an USB plug charging plug and protective cover, and three ways to contact the seller should you need any support. The price is right and the product is exceptional!

Great Product; Size and Quietness Are Perfect for a Stress Free Experience

By TrappingMama on Sep 28, 2021

My husband cuts and hand files our dogs' nails. I saw this product and it was available for a promotional price, so I decided to order it, with hopes that it would make the nail portion of our pet care routine easier. Upon receiving the nail grinder, it was packaged very nicely. It is not very large and my husband and I were skeptical about how well it would work. I charged it up, so we could try it out. The most important thing to us is the comfort of our dogs, while using the product, the ease of use, effectiveness and noise level. I would highly recommend this product. It checks all of the boxes and more of what one should expect in a grooming tool.

    Works for extremely fearful dog

By Wyatt on Sep 28, 2021

The noise level is VERY good. My dog is extremely afraid of everything so I was not sure a nail grinder would work. We took it very slow and I gave him treats while I held it off in my hand, the next day did the same but turned it on a few times, then held it near his feet, then touched his toe with the cap on but the power off, then on, then took the cap off and let it vibrate his toe a bit (all of this while he ate treats, he pulls his foot away and I would pull the treat back). I went really slow with this process so I could be as successful as possible. Finally we got to the point where I could grind his toes down. I am SO RELIEVED I got this.

    Surprisingly good!

By JimWinterbourne on Sep 28, 2021

I've had three dogs in my life, and I've never used a tool like this until last week. The grinding process sort of powderizes the nails, and it does so at what I consider to be the right speed. You don't have to make your dog wait through a long time of it, but it's also not so rapid that you have to worry. It's really pretty easy to just shorten the nails, and there aren't such sharp edges left as from clippers.Overall, I'd say this is a very good choice. You can probably use it more frequently because it's less scary to the dogs (my dogs anyway), and it feels easy and safe. Recommended.

    Perfect for Scared Dogs

By Meaghan on Sep 18, 2021

I rescued a new dog and she was terrified of the nail grinder that I used on my Golden Retriever. I did some research and decided to purchase this based on great reviews, cost, and the promise that it was quiet it wouldn't terrify dogs. When it arrived I charged it and was ready to test it out. Now, it isn't silent, but it's very quiet compared to what I was previously using on my dog (which sounded like an industrial belt sander). My girl was a little nervous at first bc she sensed I was about to do something to her paws. I turned it on and she cocked her head to the side and gently leaned it to give it a good sniff. When I touched her nail she scrambled to get away but after having my friend I rescued a new dog and she was terrified of the nail grinder that I used on my Golden Retriever. I've since used the grinder with no issues all by myself. My sweet girl was only a little concerned the first time, but after she realized there was no harm and she got LOTS of love, belly rubs and treats afterwards she was totally on board for her Paw-dicures. I would definitely recommend and I'm very happy I took a chance on purchasing this product. … more

    Wish I'd bought it sooner!

By BethJansen on Sep 18, 2021

I don't usually write reviews for products, but this grinder has changed my dog nail care profoundly. It is quiet, easy to hold, and the guard is a game changer for me. I have an older dog and a puppy, both with black nails, so clipping is a little scary for me and for them. The older dog has long, hard nails, and he used to literally tremble with fear when I would grind his nails because I would sometimes accidentally grind his toe pads, but now he and I are both calmer because the guard prevents me from accidentally hurting his pads. It is helpful to have two holes in the guard because it gives me good flexibility and easy access to each nail, so I don't have to worry about how I'm holding I don't usually write reviews for products, but this grinder has changed my dog nail care profoundly. Operates quietly and leaves my dog nails smooth!

By Momma on Sep 28, 2021

This pet nail grinder leaves our dogs nails smooth with no rough edges. It works well for my puppy as she hates loud noise- it operates very quietly. It is easy to use and I can get a good grip on it so there are no slip ups or accidents. It files the dogs nails down without any clipping and the possibility of cutting too low where it could hurt the dog. The battery life is good, one full charge will keep this grinder operating for many continuous uses. Our dog is a full grown German Shepard and it does well on her thicker, quite large nails.

    Life saver

By DanielleNSeymour on Sep 18, 2021

My dog is terrified of the floors at the grooming salon, so we purchased a special grinder head for our dremel to try to grind his nails at home. He was pretty patient for about 2/4 paws. 80lbs, so he'd get up and walk away when he was done with it. I purchased this on a whim, figured if he doesn't let us use it we can just return it. Yesterday he let me do 3/4 paws. Today he let me go back over every single nail again on all 4 feet (minus a little paw pulling away on the last one, still better than yesterday). I plan on hitting them every day for awhile to get them back to the proper length and then making it part of our weekend routine from then on.
