Can this be washed in a laundry machine using a gentle cycle? My cat peed on this recently and I have no idea why. She has been scratching it and lounging on it for weeks with no problems.

This cat scratcher is not machine washable. It's recommended to brush clean with stiff brush, wipe clean with damp cloth if needed.
Can you hang this on a wall?

This mat is meant to be used on the floor, and it does not come equipped with any hangers or loops for ease of hanging.

My Cats Love This!

Upon opening the package and laying the mat on the floor, my cats took to the mat immediately! I will be purchasing more. My thought for the few more that I want is to use fabric screws and apply the mats to the back and corners of the couch where the cats like to scratch.

Anchor and Enjoy

I put this underneath the front of my cat's tree. It helped flatten the mat and keep it down in one spot no matter how crazy she's being. My cat likes to scratch it, sit on it, sleep on it, and play with it. Also, it looks like an outdoor-entrance mat to her house -- which is super cute.

Very good but needs to be secured

I would definitely recommend this over cardboard scratchers! This one is super clean and doesn't get loose paper (or straw/threads) everywhere. And it's flat, so it doesn't get in the way and you can easily vacuum over it if you mind the toy. My cat used to bite his old scratchers as well (sometimes ate the paper...) but with this one, he bites and plays with the toy instead. He likes this mat a lot and uses it every day, often lays on it as well. He doesn't really use the jute side panels though, just the sisal middle panel. The main drawback is that this mat doesn't come with anything to hold it down. The back material is mildly anti-slip but definitely not strong enough. I used double-sided carpet tape to stick it to the floor, I recommend something similar.

Floopy and moves around

This mat is very light weight and moves around when my cat is scratching it. I like it because it doesn't shed pieces of cardboard like the corrugated ones do. My kitty likes the catnip.

Not so good!

I bought this mat as my cat usually scratches my rug!; however, it's not very sturdy so it moves a lot. Needs to have something under it to make it more stable.

not stable enough

When my cat scratches this, she pulls the mat up with her claws because the mat is too flimsy and flexible on the bottom. She LOVES to scratch it, but it just comes up each time she puts a paw on it. A bit disappointing. Would love if the bottom was reinforced with something flat like cardboard.

scratch mat

When I first saw this I wasn't sure if my cat was going to like it. He actually does. He likes to lay on it and use it as a scratcher. Sometimes he likes to hide underneath it too. He likes the little toy attached to it as well. Some of the feathers fell out pretty quickly but some are still there and the ribbon seems to be staying. Overall good scratch mat.

Would not buy again.

These are permanently folded in the respect that they just will not lay flat. I have tried everything, and nothing works. Will not purchase again.
