Continue to Canada siteWhen it's time to train your puppy, turn to something a little more realistic with the Petmaker Indoor Restroom Puppy Potty Trainer. The perfect place for pets to "go" when your pal can’t go outside, this mat and tray system mimics the real look and feel of grass—which is where all dogs prefer to do their business. And if that isn’t enticing enough, the artificial turf gives on an organic scent that attracts dogs to use it, encouraging your pup to go potty exactly where you want them to. It’s antimicrobial and odor resistant to keep your indoor space fresh and clean, too! The three-layer system works by sitting the mat on top of the plastic insert, which allows the liquid to drain into the included tray for easy cleanup.

Smaller than I thought I bought 2. But the durability is amazing been through a lot of washes and rips etc
Did the job at a decent price. I do wish it had clips or something to hold the edges down and perhaps keep playful pups chewing on the edges.
Sadly the pee would somehow leak from the bottom and end up on my wood floor ! I had to sadly end up throwing it away because it keep happing.
I love this for my yorkie. Ive tried to have her use it, no luck yet but she's only 8 weeks. She wants to do alot of playing with it at the moment. Gonna keep trying. Hope it works out for me because it would be awesome. Its really a good size for her and looks good instead of just having a pee pee pad on the floor. So keeping fingers crossed.
This was an absolutely horrible product. The pee did not go into the tray. It stayed on the grass. Went all over my dog and my new carpet. Now not only am I out the 17 it cost to purchase this. But another $100 for a carpet service.
It’s a great product. My puppy loves it and started instantly using it. For everyone complaining for the smell - haven’t it occurred to you to wash it? So yes, after couple of weeks of using it, it started smelling, so we started washing it. It’s not a great idea to leave your dog unsupervised with it as it may chew it (but they can chew a real grass one as well, right?). I clean it in the morning (for the ones that say it doesn’t dry - it does in few hours if you lift it upright to drain duh) and put it back at night, so I don’t have to take my puppy out in the middle of the night. I’ve been using it for about 2 months now. The whole point of the mat is to potty train my dog, so I am not leaving it all day long. If you are planning to use this as an only potty place for your dog instead of taking them out - probably is a better idea to get a subscription for a fresh grass and avoid the hustle of washing it. I am going to use this for few more months until I can rely on my puppy to hold it all night and then I will toss it.
This product is a great idea and my puppy learned pretty fast where she should go but the small size was too small so she'd try to sit on it and end up peeing around it instead. I would have liked to order a larger size but the cost to size ratio seemed unreasonable. I ended up going to Lowes and getting large oil pan and some astro turf and fashioned something similar for a fraction of the price. The cleaning and maintenance isn't so bad. I drain the pan and hose down the area once every couple days. Once a week I hose it down with eco friendly dish detergent followed by a spray of vinegar and then a spritz of Fizzion and that does the trick for getting rid of the smell. The product isn't bad its just a shame it's sooooo small and the larger is so expensive.
I have a long haired Chihuahua and Pomeranian mix. She is needless to say low to the ground. We live in Florida and in the summer time it rains just about every afternoon. So most dogs won't go potty in the rain or after a very rainy day when she steps into the grass and she's up to her armpits in standing water. So this is where the petmaker grass comes in very handy. I have one in my house and when the weather is awful my girl goes on the grass pad and it's problem solved. I put a wee wee pads under the grass mat so I don't have to wash out the tray. It works out very well. I wash it with dish soap and hang it over a chair outside to air dry and put my other grass pad down so there's always a rotation with the pads. At first I thought she wasn't using it but one day I picked up the green pad and found the tray with pee pee in it. I told her what a good girl she was and she realized she did good not bad. She uses these pads on those crummy days. No accidents on the rug or floor and that makes Mommy a very happy camper. You can get quite a few uses out of these pads as long as you keep washing them.
I bought this because my puppy loves to roll around in grass and I thought this would help him want to go to the bathroom on this spot, but this does not feel like grass at all and he is not even interested.
As someone that initially potty trained my pup, I can definitely vouch for this item as my pup easily transitioned over from pads to this with no issues at all. In fact, he went from having occasional carpet accidents to none at all once I brought the turf pads in! 1) Yes, it does stink but mainly because it is a potty....However, if you keep up with rinsing it down every few days (I do so in with the shower head and let it air dry on a towel) then there should be no issue with stench, and dry time is fairly short as well. 2) Another thing that I do is place a potty pad between the pad and the tray so that it absorbs my pups pee and makes for an easy swap out every day; this has been a life saver and yes, the pee does go through the turf.
