Should've known from the moment I opened the carton this litterbox would not be for my cats. What a miserable design. Very high on the back end, front end way too low. The rounded design makes for impossible scooping. Photo illustrates what we got after one use - everything stuck. Tossed. Refund requested.
Not easy scoopin'
Won't recommend because the litter box in rounded and cat scoopers are square, so it's hard to get to everything with a square scooper in a rounded area.
Litterpans
I think these are the best.. there are no corners. Being an older lady these are easier to scoop.
Excellent Litter Pan
I have purchased a variety of litter pans but none have been as easy as this one for us to clean and for our cat, Sam, to use. It's made well and the high back really keeps litter in pan. Sam likes to scratch up his litter. A Chewy customer representative recommended 3 litter pans based on what I told her about Sam. I picked this one. She was right. It was perfect for Sam. Thank you Chewy.
Love this litter pan!
I’ve tried so many litter pans and finally found a winner with this one. I have the jumbo one and it’s even big enough for two cats. The rounded corners make scooping easier and the high sides prevent litter scattering. Will definitely be ordering another one!
Photo Flaw
The photo of this item does not show the low end of this litter pan. I wanted a deep pan all the way around so the cats couldn't push the litter out. This pan allowed the litter to go on the floor. It also has a rim on the lower part of the sides so you can't run the scooper strait down.
Hindsight is 20\20!
I am here about to purchase another. My cat really really liked this pan... I did not realize lol. I had to toss it so I grabbed the usual rectangle one in a hurry. Never again. I am going to buy this pan for her furever now.... Along with nature's miracle lol awesome pan fur sure!!!
The dimensions are misleading
I bought this because I like the pearly blue color, which is really pretty. And the rounded shape of the box is also attractive. (I know I'm not the only pet mom or dad shopping for looks, as well as function!) The four sides of this box slope inwards, which means the top edges of the pan are a lot larger than the base of the pan. And that's where the problem is for me. The area on which the cat stands is only 14.5 inches long by 11.5 inches wide, which means the cat pretty much has to stand in one spot to go. I've never had a cat step into a litter box and just stand there. Mine like to move around a little bit. For comparison, one of my extra-large rectangular boxes is 22 inches long by 17 inches wide, a big difference. And since my 8 rescue cats are longer than 14.5 inches, I'm concerned that waste is going to hit the sides of the pan, rather than the cat litter, creating a cleaning nightmare. I neglected to notice that the front has no cut-out, and so it would be impossible for my senior, arthritic cat to be able to climb in. The right size potty makes everyone happy.
Litter Pan
These litter pans do the job, but you do have to teach my cats that they should then use the higher side to go potty, and not the low side..... They do clean easy, but beware they come in GIANT boxes when delivered. Perhaps Chewy could look into more economical ways to ship them, as I ordered 3 and it filled up the room.
Best purchase
Finally a litter pan that keeps the litter inside!! It’s big enough for my cat and I’m so happy not to clean up litter off of the floor . Highly recommend
