Petmate Simple Sifting Cat Litter System, Blue Steel/Pearl Silver

Basic facts: my cat is a (very) long-haired and rambunctious 4 year old. Litter tends to get thrown everywhere and/or get stuck in his fur. The sifting litter box seemed like a dream come true. It isn’t. I buy World’s Greatest Cat Litter from Chewy because it clumps impossibility fast and has no smell. But that specific cat litter with this box do NOT mix. It just makes a clumpy mess on top and bottom. It’s a good size box, so I just tossed the sifter and and am now using this as a spare box. Bottom line: great idea,but definitely consider what litter you’re using before purchasing. Pluses: very sturdy and good quality.

This is better than I'd expected. I measured everything and it was actually slightly smaller than I needed, but the litterbox is so much more helpful than I could've imagined.

While not perfect, I love sifting so much more than scooping. Yes, sometimes the litter sticks to the side, but is easily dislodged with a thump! My only complaint is that one of my cats likes to knock the litter out of the pan...I need a bigger one! I think I'm going to set this one inside of a bigger plastic tub to contain his messiness....

I originally ordered one to give it a try before replacing both our boxes. After his first time sifting, my husband immediately said to order another to replace the other regular box, and two more for my parents! Must work pretty slick! ;)

I purchased this item with high hopes and it does everything advertised, my only issue is I wish the sides were higher. I have a cat who has a tendency to go over the side of the litter box if the sides are too low.

As a fairly new cat guardian, I'm always learning about my feline friends. I like this sifting system for the pine pellets. Lose a few but the all natural way is the best. I bet this would work really well with regular cat litter. Thanks Chewy, Lenox, Merry and Deb.

Absolutely love this litter system. Makes having cats so much more enjoyable when you don't have to scoop out poop. Love it !!

I would definitely recommend this for anyone who takes care of the cat litter duty for multiple cats in a household. I use covered litter boxes for my cats and being able to dump the litter into this makes it a lot easier and faster than using a scoop to do the cleaning.

I wanted to like it because I liked the idea of it. However, their number 2s kept getting stuck on the sides. Also, you can't have them go in the top grated one because then everything gets stuck in the grates and it is impossible to clean. They have to use the first blue one then you pure everything into the grated one with the second blue one underneath and lift the grated thing out and dump it in the first blue one. It spreads the litter EVERYWHERE and the clumps still get stuck on the plastic. I just went back to cleaning things with the scooper.

The screen part of the box gets blocked with dirty litter that you then need to go outside to clean. I have already tossed it away.
