Would this be ideal to leave with one cat during a week away trip, if someone comes every other day? Or if not needed to be left alone be enough for one cat?

This product ensures sure there's a constant flow of fresh water even when you're not home. However, we do not recommend leaving your pet alone for long periods of time.
I bought Replendish charcoal filters but how do I attach them to the bottle?

The filter will be placed within the cap of the jug. Prior to use, be sure to remove the outer plastic covering on the filter and rinse under cold water. Once the water runs clear, place the filter back in the cap section with flat side upwards then apply filter strap across the top. After filling the bottle with water, attach the cap and then insert back into the base for usage to begin. We recommend rinsing the filter at each water change and replacing the filter every 6-8 weeks.

My question is How heavy is this waterer. My cat head butts the plastic one and turns it over. Would he be able to knock this one over ?

Love this!

This item is pretty nice and it’s exactly what it said it was gonna look and be on the size and material. We hope that we switched from plastic bowl bottom to more of steel bowl bottom will help it more from build up from food treats. I would clean there bowls to keep it nice and good looking but it’s still left stains.

Rusty!

This thing is rustier than the Titanic. We hand wash it. We live in Arizona (it’s pretty arid here). Yet the thing is a hot mess. Not looking like stainless steel. Looking for a new watering bowl.

slip and drip

the container slides when my dog drinks out of it. The water fills right to the rim so and drinking by the dog or cat spills water everywhere. I should have read the reviews before ordering. I regret buying it.

Best find

It is so difficult to find a waterer that is not plastic. While the jug of this waterer seems to be made of some type of plastic, having a stainless steel base is very appreciated. (It is impossible to find any waterer that is entirely stainless steal unfortunately). It is much easier to clean the stainless steel base than it is to clean comparable plastic bases, seems so much more sanitary. This thing holds a good amount of water, it lasts an entire week with multiple cats and a 50 pound dog sharing. This is my second time purchasing this exact waterer, as it is my favorite I have had so far.

The metal collar developed a crack.

The metal collar developed a crack a few weeks after the purchase. It eventually began to leak. It did not last very long despite the metal construction.

purchased for 4 cats to have plenty of fresh water, nice stainless-steel bowel which makes it easy to see condition of water.

Worked OK for a while, Then started overfilling all over floors

This dish started out working, but after a short time, we found it leaking all over the floor. Investigating found the dish does its partial gravity fill, all seems OK, but it continues to fill to the point of fully filling the stainless bowl, and running all over the floors, which is a real issue with wood floors, even using a pet mat. No idea why as we tried it again and watched it. Within 6 hours, it was overflowing again. Would like to return as it’s useless and caused us headaches and clean up for no apparent reason.

No place for a filter!

I’m very upset with this purchase. I specifically bought this brand - and read all the reviews to and questions from this page to make sure that it did come with a place to put a filter. The cap is completely different from the plastic Petmate I had previously ordered that did have a place to hold a filter. Very disappointed.
