  • It's Great

I just received this pet carrier this morning and as soon as I got it I started putting it together. It didn't take me long to assemble, maybe five minutes, at the most. It seems to be exactly what I was looking for for my 10 lb cat. She does not like being put into pet carriers and the top opening is going to be perfect for that. After I got it assembled I tried it out by putting her in it through the top and oh my gosh it was so simple, I wish I had bought this a long time ago. The top door stays open nicely too and it seems to be very well made and sturdy. I bought the light blue/black one because it was about $5 cheaper and who doesn't like to save money when they can. I also purchased a pet bed to use when we need to transport her. I'm planning on purchasing another one for my little 8 lb chihuahua who sometimes doesn't like to come out of her pet carrier when we go to the vets. If there was one thing I would change, I would make it so that there is a way to secure the seatbelt to it like the other one that I have. I will have to wrap the seatbelt around the front of this one I guess or put it through the handle. All in all a great buy! Super fast shipping too! It was here in two days! … more

  • Spacious and lightweight

    By on

Very spacious inside: I transported four 5-month old kittens (i.e., big), and they had enough room PLUS the carrier could easily take the weight. The carrier itself is nice and lightweight. The top hatch stays open without being held, so you can use both hands for loading kitties. I was a bit worried about the handle being attached to the top hatch, but the latch seems very sturdy and it coped just fine with the four heavy kittens. Having done a ton of research, this is one of the few top-loaders on the market and I would definitely recommend it.

  • AMAZING Carrier

    By on

I ordered this carrier about a week before Irma hit Florida. I knew we would have to evacuate but I also knew she hated her old carrier. Xena had 1 day to get use to her carrier & it went well. The day when we left l put her in the carrier, it bothered her for a little while but since she had a lot of room to move & turn she was content. We drove for almost 2 hours & she did great. She was fine once we got to our destination. Xena is a big cat she weighs 13 lbs this carrier is very sturdy & being able to put her in through the top part is great. Construction is very strong & durable. I highly recommend this carrier

  • Not happy with the carrier

    By on

I do not like this carrier at all and will be returning it. While I do like the opening in the top to get the cat in, trying to get a hissy, growling cat out of it is another story. I like my current carrier where you can unlatch the top and take it off. The lid for this carrier is screwed on and it was difficult to get the screws thru the cutouts and the nuts did not want to thread the screws.

  • Excellent carrier

Kennel is lightweight yet sturdy perfect size for a small to medium size cat or small dog. Because of the top access to give the animal lots of light and can see what's going on as well as very easy access to the pet. Highly recommend:)!

  • Solves Problem

    By on

This carrier eases the problem of getting our difficult cat into and out of the carrier. The top door is a tremendous idea! It does seem a tad smaller than our previous carrier.

  • Too tight for 20lb dog

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

My mixed chiuawa dog is 15 pounds. I don't believe a 20 pound dog would fit in this carrier. It seems to be cut small. I bought the medium one, blue. I appreciated the extra wing nuts and screws. That was wonderful. The plastic seems sturdy. I wish the door on top was diamond shaped wire for extra security so nothing could fall in accidentally. Also where the screw top fits against the plastic crate it would be nice for it to be reinforced. But that is just me building a better mouse trap. Wouldn't want my baby in this for more than a couple hours in any situation.

  • Picture is deceptive, but still a good case.

I needed something to replace the small bag-like cat carrier I've been using since my cat was 8 weeks old. Using it was *literally* trying to stuff a full-sized cat into a bag. I thought this would be a great change, plus its hard sides would be better protection for my cat in the car. Everything I thought was accurate - but the top door doesn't remain open, like it does in the picture, without holding it. That makes the "cat in carrier" process a bit harder than I expected. Despite that, & the fact that I think it's a little too big for my cat (which is my fault for choosing a larger size), it's a great carrier. • Big enough for two!

    By on

Love this carrier! It is big enough for my two cats to transport them safely to the vet, with room to cuddle. It made the trip comforting for my fur babies.

  • So much easier to load cats

    By on

It generally took 2 of us to put our cat Bailey into his carrier, but with top load I can manage it myself. It takes much of the anxiety away from the effort for him and for us.
