good quality

Our puppy is growing so fast that I needed a larger kennel. It's just right for her and Petmate has good quality items. The construction is well made. Happy that I bought this one!

Crack in Top of Crate

Ordered this crate for a friend for travel. Crate arrived with crack in top piece, no damage to shipping box. Needed immediately, so could not replace. PLEASE, CHEWY, inspect product BEFORE shipping!

Don't purchase, handle breaks easily

We ordered a Petmate Ultra Vari Dog Kennel, size small, from Chewy on 7/2/21 in anticipation of our pup's arrival. The first time we used it was to take him to the vet on 8/25/21. Our pug hates car rides so has only been crated a handful of times. We never lift the crate with him inside, it remains tethered by seatbelt when we transport. The only time we move it is to transfer from back seat to trunk between uses. In early Aug this year, when lifting it from the trunk, the handle suddenly and loudly snapped into pieces and the crate fell to the ground. The small plastic tab that holds the two parts of the handle together just broke clean through. I'm shocked to see this could happen since the handle was only supporting the light weight of the container; I consider this defective. I called Petmate and since it was a few weeks past the warranty I'm out of luck. They told me to email them with pics and info for consideration but they are not responding.

Pet Cage for Puppy

Item came quickly and was easy to put together. Extra bolts were included in case some were lost over time. Puppy has gotten used to it and it is working as a bed at night.

Came broken

Cheap. Very cheap thing plastic. Came with a corner broken. It'll do to get us thru til the puppy out grows it.

Petmate Vari Kennel - simply the best plastic in which to transport

I bought 2 of these and I’ve used them for 30+ years. I have always preferred .. more importantly ... so have my cats ... the extra “head room” that this kennel provides. Cats ride comfortably in it, and they don’t seem to be uncomfortable over a ride of up to several hours. It’s sufficiently “open” for them to see out, and sufficiently “closed” for them to feel safe.
