Is this a treatment with *use as needed* after stains dissipate? I have read on another product to do that. Looks like pretty similar ingredients.

You should give your dog this product daily until their tear stains subside, and then continue to use for an additional 30 days. After 30 days, you can stop administration and use only when needed. Please allow up to 45-60 days to see full results.
