This coat was our second attempt at finding one for cold and rainy weather. The design allows for easy slip on and minimal effort to adjust the fit (just two straps to velcro in place). What is most ingeneous is the zipper on the back to access the D-ring on the harness underneath. This was what didn't work with the first coat we tried. Our dog's harness has a D-ring for the leash, but also a loop we use to secure him in the car. The 2-way zipper on the back allows access to both of those. There is a flap inside the zipper opening so that cold air and rain do not get in. This coat is perfect in every way for what we needed. This is well made, perfect fit, weatherproof and stylish. Great for our winter mountain weekends when it snows or rains.

This was my 3rd try on a jacket. I even went to a store with my dog to try one on but velcro released every time my dog ran with it on. This jacket/coat is plenty large and velcro closure on both sides makes for secure fit. It has opening for harness or collar attachment to leash. Seems very durable.

Having the velcro attach on the sides verses the belly is a huge improvement! This coat actually stays on my dog and has great coverage for the Seattle rainy season.

I measured my 6 year old dog just as I do every year and this blanket barely went around his chest. He's 90 lbs and I ended up giving the blanket to a friend who has a dog who is only 57 lbs and it fits that dog perfectly

I am very pleased with this purchase. The coat is very well made and nice looking. There is a layer of fabric underneath the 2-way zipper, which keeps it warm when you attach a harness. The coat came with a tag that has the size chart like on Chewy.com, but there is an extra line included for weight. It would have been helpful to have seen that when I was deciding which size to order. I bought the XL for a 76 pound dog and it fits perfectly. Per the tag, it says the XL fits 65 to 95 pound dogs (The L is for 36 to 65 pounds and the XXL is over 95 pounds). Hope this helps in your decision process!

Be sure to measure your dog, chest, neck and length. Our dog was XL. Hard to believe, but it fit perfect. Great for those long walks on a cold winter's day!

Easy on, easy off. Strong velcro helps jacket stay put. Rain runs right off this jacket, keeps my boy dry from neck to base of tail while keeping his body warm. Made well, so far no loose stitches. I bought a large for my Beagle/Jack Russell mix, fits him from neck to base of tail, wraps around him perfectly. The red color looks better in person than online.

I sized up because of so many reviews about the size, and think that maybe i shouldn't have (we have a small dog 11lbs) The coat keeps our guy warm, he hasn't peed on it, and it keeps him dry. The reflective strips are nicely visible when dark. We'd recommend this jacket. Very well made.

We love this jacket. Our poodle mix takes a long time to dry but still needs long walks even on rainy or snowy days. This keeps him nice and dry. The big advantage for us is that it fits really well. He is very lean and tall. Fit can be difficult with many products. The velcro straps allow for a good deal of adjustment in size so we can cinch him up nice and snug around the chest but still get the required length for his back. Baxter never seems to get cold but having an insulated jacket on him makes ME feel better on frigid New England winter days. The reflective strips help keep our black dog visible on nighttime walks.
