There’s no need to put up with endless barking. The GentleSpray Anti-Bark Collar gently and immediately conditions your dog to stop barking using a harmless burst of spray. The collar uses a microphone to pick up your dog’s bark, which triggers a harmless burst of spray. The spray distracts your dog from whatever he's barking at, letting you redirect your dog's attention. This spray collar is safe for all dogs, including puppies.

Our Maltese is so sweet to our family, but has been a major barker at everything that moves outside our home (and we live in a busy town!) It was getting unbearable! We tried a training collar with a remote, but I had to have the remote on me at ALL times to be consistent, and he was still barking and growling at 4:30am. I just couldn't have the remote in my hand every second of the day and night. I finally got the Citronella spray collar after a friend in Spain said it worked great for her dog. The first day we had the collar on our dog, the collar sprayed him a dozen times, or so, without him barking (hasn't done that since then, though.) The first day we had the collar on our dog, the collar sprayed him a dozen times, or so, without him barking (hasn't done that since then, though.) I was pretty frustrated that it didn't seem to be working properly at first, but my dog, also, didn't bark at all that day, except for a couple times in the beginning, which was totally unheard of! I felt like I should give it a couple more days, non the less, since it wasn't actually hurting him. He just disliked it. Our dog was very timid, laid around and didn't eat much for the first 24 hours after putting the collar on. He continued to be pretty much silent for the next few days, with only one bark occasionally. It's been a week now and he's come back around to his fun, playful self and is still silent for the most part! He makes little noises for communicating that don't set the collar off, but no more loud, continuous barking day and night! So, so pleased! So far, a miracle worker! ... Just a note about the collar: His chin fur is a couple inches long, so I made the collar a bit looser to let the spraying device hang down lower, so it gets his nose better. And, it also makes the device a little less sensitive to his quieter noises. I only goes off now if he barks out loud.… more
Good training device - much better than a shock collar.

It's set a little too sensitive out of the box. My poor dog got "spritzed" every time he moved his head. After I put a piece of tape over the mic it was much better. Now, even when he's not wearing it he tends to not bark - so good training. It works best if he gets praise and treats when he looks like he's going to bark and then doesn't. Really easy to refill.
Not worth the money if you're trying to stop an even half-way determined barker.

I was desperate for a non shock collar alternative to curb my yappy dog from barking at everyone and everything in the backyard. I was excited to try this product however upon arrival I was unable to even fill the collar. I did the troubleshooting and was still only able to fit about 2 sprays worth of citronella in the collar. The first spray did surprise him but the next time he barked it was empty. Plus if your dog has ANY kind of fur it just shoots into their chin fur. Hardly enough to stop barking dog. I gave it 2 stars just in case it DID fill properly, then maybe it would have worked somewhat.

I have barking mini schnauzers and a mini Aussie. I have ordered four of these collars over the years. They are a great alternative to traditional shock collars. Just like any other training method, consistency is key. Leave the collar on consistently.
Added benefit - your home will smell wonderful when your dog barks!

I have a 70 lb. lab mix with a deep bark. Everything spooks him and he is always barking. The collar works well. No more barking at the mailman, the squirrels, or the wind. Only drawback, he gets sprayed when my other dog barks. So, he has learned to walk away.
So Incredibly Bummed
on May 18, 2018
It worked great in the beginning (a week of use). Then I ran out of citronella. Got more citronella then the batteries were dead. By then the dogs had reverted back to their old naughty ways. By the time I got the batteries the units would not fill and were completely useless! I spent money on citronella and batteries that I can't use now. So Frustrated!!
Worth every penny

This did the trick for my 1 year old black lab who always lets us know if someone was close by. In less than 2 weeks he sometimes didn't even need the collar on!
Does not work for this corgi
on Dec 30, 2017
I got this for my corgi that likes to bark for attention and anytime someone sneezes. While it did initially prevent him from barking for a day or two, he became frustrated with it and paid no attention that it was spraying him after continous barking. The smell is kind of annoying, especially if you have a dog that barks constantly and then it sprays constantly. My dog also developed some type of anger with sprays, so when he had a fungal infection on his paws and we needed to spray medication on it, he ended up being very defiant.
Too Heavy for 8lb Dog
on Jan 13, 2018
The collar was too heavy for my 8lb dog. It would spray her whenever she would shake her head and she was especially tempted to shake her head to adjust to the new feeling of the bulky collar and weight. It sprayed her more for shaking her head than for barking. I used it about 3-4 times when we were walking but the weight and getting sprayed for shaking her head caused her muscles to tense and she ended up getting a cramp in her neck and upper front leg. That never happened to her before. I haven't used it since. I think this would be a great product for a bigger dog where the collar could be more snug and the weight of the spray box would not be an issue.

I adopted a 12 year old dog that barks constantly unless I am right with him, and because I can't completely trust him around my cats (I was told he was good with cats),he's crated at night and off and on throughout some days (which he hates). The Citronella collar was recommended to me as a last resort before he was to be returned to the shelter. The collar worked for one night and
now he's back to barking so he'll probably be heading back to the shelter.Depending on your circumstances this collar may or may not work for your dog.
