Loud and annoying, and my cats love it
By Barberella on Dec 8, 2020
I took a chance on this toy and got it when it was on sale. I honestly couldn’t understand what the big fuss about it was, it’s just a hunk of plastic with 2 little plastic mice that poke their heads in and out of 2 holes at different intervals. And yet for some reason, my cats are OBSESSED with this thing! The toy makes a fair amount of noise, and does get stuck relatively frequently, which requires a battery removal and reset, but even with that aside I will find these cats trying to get to the little mice inside even when the toy is off. I think this thing is loud and annoying, but as long as they’re happy, I’m happy!

A must have if you have two cats
By Bkmcd on Dec 26, 2020
While great fun for one cat, for two it’s a must have. The cats amused themselves for a full hour! In addition to turning on for single use, It can also be set to come on intermittently when you are gone. There is a mouse on each side so 2 can play at once. We have two active and curious Abyssinians and they love this thing. It is not noisy and annoying as someone else said. Barely makes any noise at all. Also being from Petsafe, it is a simple clean design and well made. Highly recommend!

Catch The Mouse
By Caljazz on Jan 10, 2021
The Cheese Motion Cat Toy was the favorite Christmas toy this year. My older cat who is 15 just loves it. She has ears perked forward and will watch and paw at the mouse. She flips upside down on her crinkle mat and even sleeps by the cheese. My other cat who is 8 will sneak a turn and smack the mouse but she also likes to lie in wait watching it!!! Super toy- quiet with a cute little green light----simple yet alluring!!!!

Boredom, Anyone?
By Moink911 on Dec 26, 2020
I should have paid more attention to the existing reviews on this. My 4 cats didn't mind too much that the mice are hard plastic, although I'm sure felt or fur ones (possibly replaceable?) would be preferable. What they did mind was the mice popping out of only one opening on each long side of the cheese, with mind-numbingly predictable sequences. They love motion toys, but their interest in this lasted less than 2 minutes- and that was with catnip & coaching! Something more along the lines of a true Whack-A-Mole would be WAY better.

Cat is intrigued, but it needs a remote
By Sophiemom on Dec 26, 2020
Sophie is fascinated by this thing, but she gets bored when it keeps going for 15 minutes, and stopping it manually only makes her run over to see what happened...and then if I start it up again, she watches for a minute or two and gets bored again. The play-while-away mode is good, but it would be better if I could make it turn on and off from a distance with a remote to really make it unpredictable for her.

Morty loves this!
By MortysMom on Dec 1, 2020
I had purchased one of these several years ago and it lasted a long time. It finally broke so I'm purchasing another one for Christmas. Morty absolutely loves this. I turn it on and he gets so excited. We play together on the floor. We take turns trying to "catch" the mouse. I like the feature that allows the mechanism to run on its own too. It does make some noise, but Morty is extremely skittish with noise and this doesn't seem to bother him. We love it!

Not so much
By soso on Jan 1, 2021
Out of five cats and two kittens, only one even pays attention to the Cheese for a short time. It held their interest for about two days when we first got it but now not so much.

Great buy!
By Alanna on Dec 12, 2020
Our cats absolutely LOVE this! They will often play with it, but will other times simply watch it intensely. I love that I’m able to put it on a timer to keep them entertained while I am at work. Such a reasonable price, too!

Doesn’t work
By Bryn on Dec 4, 2020
After I had to buy batteries for this (because nothing uses AA batteries anymore) I used it and my cats were interested. But after that one use it did not work anymore. It just flashes a red light and the mice won’t move.

This was great the first couple days....
By KitKat1038 on Nov 8, 2020
I had high hopes for this cat toy. My cats loved it and after a couple days, the mouse sped up, light on top went red and the power went out. Changed the batteries and the same thing happened only immediately. This toy did not last a week. Waste of money.
