PetSafe Come With Me Kitty Glitter Nylon Cat Harness & Bungee Leash

With the PetSafe Come With Me Kitty Harness & Bungee Cat Leash, you can expand your indoor cat’s world safely. It’s designed specifically for cats with an adjustable harness that applies gentle pressure to the shoulders, not the throat. This prevents your cat from choking or slipping out of the harness. The unique bungee leash flexes with your cat’s movement so that she won’t be pulled suddenly when she reaches the end of the leash. Instead, your cat is safely restrained as the harness shoulder straps gently tighten. The PetSafe Come With Me Kitty system gives your favorite feline a taste of the outdoors in a safe and natural way.

Before You Begin
This will be a learning process for your cat, as you help her accept the harness and learn to walk with the leash. Kittens will adjust most easily to the sensation of the harness. An older cat may require more time to get used to the feeling of her “new clothes.” It may be best to divide the fitting and acclimation process into several short sessions to keep the encounter positive. Try to end each session on a pleasant note, and remove the harness when your cat is calm. If you sense your cat’s reaction is on the verge of escalating, don’t prolong the session, as it may make the next one more difficult! * If your cat is sensitive to handling or becomes anxious when encountering new things, use treats, food, petting, brushing, or a favorite toy to make the fitting experience a pleasant one. * Choose a quiet time and a quiet room indoors without distractions for either you or your cat. * Reassure him with a calm voice and gentle petting in areas that he likes. * Don’t scold or yell, don’t force, and never hit your cat. Your cat must feel safe in the situation or she will be unable to learn from the experience. * Schedule whatever kitty enjoys—mealtime, playtime, petting and brushing, or catnip fests—to happen when he is wearing the harness. This helps him associate the harness with good things! Properly fitted, the harness will be very comfortable and safe for your cat. Remember that any new clothing or equipment—shoes, bras, eyeglasses or contacts, or braces—may feel unusual at first, but we acclimate to them in a short period of time. Don’t let an initial reaction from your cat discourage you. Keep in mind the long-term goal of enriching your cat’s life by giving her broader daily experiences.
Fitting Instructions
- Open each side strap quick snap and identify parts. Connect bungee leash to leash attachment.
- Move sternum slide down to make the opening large enough for your cat’s head. Slide shoulder straps on either side of your cat’s head with leash attachment over the withers/back.
- Adjust side straps for a snug girth fit.
- Chest piece goes between legs and side girth straps behind front legs. Snap in place. Note that the connector “O” ring should rest on the belly, just behind the cat’s front legs.
- You may want to release the girth strap temporarily to make the next adjustment easier.
- Re-snap the side straps into place. Move the sternum slide to sit just below the cat’s breastbone so that it will not ride up to your cat’s throat area.
- Position the black rubber stopper near the leash connector to keep the shoulder straps in place. Check to see that tightening the leash does not result in the sternum slide riding up too high, putting pressure on the trachea. If it does, adjust the sternum slide to sit lower on your cat’s chest.
Measure your cat's width by wrapping a tape measure around your cat's chest, just behind the front legs.

An addition to my emergency supplies
By Smitty on Oct 28, 2020
A friend of mine got one of these so that she could safely let one of her cats get out in the grass, so I was familiar with the product. I ordered this to add to my emergency supplies and check out the sizing. The large works for the 12 to 15 pounders. I will need to get measurements on my two smaller cats in the 9-10 pound range to choose between the small and the medium.

Thought it was too small but it's actually great.
By Will on Oct 4, 2020
I was tired and couldn't figure out how to adjust it and it was an inch too small for my large 15lb cat and my dwarf 5lb cat. (they have exact same rib size) But right when I looked to return it I found I could adjust about 2 whole inches and now it's great and a cozy loose fit they like. The glitter is REALLY good, they look great. If my giant muscly cat can't break out of it, it's a pretty tough item. And he tried... but now I have two cats that like walking on a leash :)

I’ve had a lot of fun with this product. I’ve been able to bring my indoor cat outside without her running away!

Harness is not escape proof
By Crystal on Aug 5, 2020
My cat has managed to escape from this harness every single time we’ve been outside. If I make it any tighter it will hurt him. I may as well have take him outside on his collar alone. The problem is the part that goes over his head can’t be adjusted properly to fit him, and I bought the smallest size. It seems like the people who designed this harness have never interacted with a real cat before.

Not actually quick release harness
By Adel9 on Sep 22, 2020
Positives: -sizing. I was worried about the sizing but the large works well for my 10 lb adult cat. -Quality: high quality especially for the price However, I specifically searched for quick release harnesses and this was one of two options that came up (the other was this harness in smaller sizes) and this is NOT a quick release harness.

Easy Escape
By Tanner on Jun 10, 2020
My cat is fine with some harnesses except when he gets spooked. That's when an escape proof harness is critical. This one wasn't. I followed the instructions for fitting, but I would have had to have it too tight to be escape proof. I also didn't like the way the straps over the back were a half twist rather than lying flat. I went back to the simple strap harness which he doesn't escape from when frightened.

Come With Me Kitty
By Carolyn on Jun 12, 2020
I am satisfied with my cat harness and leash. My cat is taking his time on getting use to it, but sometimes he does really good on it. I just put the harness part on him and he does not seem to mind. He is not too good with the walking part yet, but he will get there.

Great harness for my chunky boy!
By OscarsMom on Jul 29, 2020
I've tried a couple of harnesses on my chucky feline friend and he was super uncomfortable in all of them except for this one (...and it sparkles to boot)! Love it :-)
