Quality has gone downhill
I have an old set of these stairs, which obviously, are good, since I bought a 2nd set. This set came with the carpet grips to be placed by consumer. The carpet had a peel off backing and adhesive. Unfortunately, the adhesive does not stick. The carpet pieces, at best, crinkle when stepped on. At worst, they end up on the floor. Consequently, elderly cat won't use them, because they freak her out. I may go look for a construction glue that will work on plastic, but I am doubtful that they can be rehabilitated in her mind. They scared her and that is bad.
Does the job, but not great
I've had these stairs for 4 months. Within the first 2 months, my friend sat on the steps (not knowing they weren't supposed to take an adult's weight) and broke one of the locking latches in the legs. The stairs still worked with just one latch, so continued using them and left them by our couch.
The second latch broke a bit ago when I was moving the stairs and bumped the legs against the coffee table. The stairs still technically work without the locking mechanism, but they are wobbly. If I was concerned about my dog falling, I would have thrown them out. However, since she can get up and down the couch with a running start, I know she'd be fine. (The stairs are just to make things easier for her).
The felt non-slip stickers on the stairs have come off multiple times, but they weren't too difficult to put back into place. First time happened when they were in my car (stairs were upside down, sticker peeled off and fell), second time was when the edge got caught on something. Stickers can't be replaced, so when they stop sticking entirely, I'll probably just use some hot glue on it.
I'm glad I got these on sale. They aren't worth the full price.
Good
The quality and durability is good, but the steps are so close together it makes it hard for my dog to navigate as they are not naturally set. It holds up to 200 lbs I believe, but would be better suited for smaller dogs. My girl is a small pit, 45 lbs, but the steps are just too tricky to navigate as they are too close together. I love the foldability and the carpeted steps, and they were the perfect height!

Little dog climbs steps to big places
Love these steps!! My cocker spaniel puppy can easily access places she previously needed to be picked up to reach. She caught on really quickly! I also anticipate these steps becoming very useful for my senior, chubby cat. Very happy with my choice!! Sturdy enough for an active cocker spaniel and folding for storage is an added feature.
Wouldn’t Buy Again
The adhesive on the non-slip grips on the bottom won’t stay on the stairs, and keep sticking to my floor instead.
The adhesive on the felt part of the stairs also won’t stick to the stairs.

Pet stairs
Overall, the stairs work like they are supposed to. Perfect height for my couch or to use for my dog to get in the car. My only complaint is the little feet pads, and the traction pads are not sticky at all. I had to use Gorilla Glue to get them to stick.

Carpet Pieces Do NOT stick
The adhesive on the carpet strips does not work. The carpet pieces will not stay in place. Unfortunately, the steps are too slippery for my little dog without carpet. Other than the adhesive problem, the steps are ok although a bit cheap.

waste of money
smaller than it appears. carpet pads on stairs do not stay in place - they literally fall off. non-slip base pads are laughably small and too hard in any case to stop slippage of the steps on a hard floor when your pet tries to ascend. my dog gamely tried to use this, but eventually refused as it slipped from under him every time. don't waste your money.

Great quality stairs except for one thing
I love the stairs and I love the fact that they’re lined and they’re starting. The only thing is they’re really slippery if you put them on a bare floor without a rug my dog is scared to go up them because they move around. If you have carpet you won’t have this problem but unfortunately I have wood floors so I’m gonna have to try to find something that will grip it and not allow it to slide.

worked well at first…
This seemed great at first, but the steps aren’t wide enough and there’s only padding on the middle part. One or two mis-steps and my dog won’t use it anymore because he’ll just slide off. If you’re looking for steps I’d say don’t get the cheaper option… go for a ramp or cloth/padded steps all the way around.
