Drinkwell Fountain Pump

Our 5 year old fountain pump finally died after threatening to for a few weeks. Ordered a replacement from Chewy which arrived promptly and at a reasonable price.

Replacement Pump

This is the second time I had to replace this pump. The water level must be kept high or the pump is toast!

Costly but will do

Arrived quickly but had to pay for shipping. Cost of pump is same as to buy a new fountain with pump but hate to cause more waste. Purchased fountain on Chewy website but could not find exact match to replace a pump for my "DrinkWell Mini " fountain. This one at least can fit into the size spot of old pump. Had to improvise with white gasket as shape does not match my old, triangle shape. Made slit in old one to remove from cord and placed it on a new pump's cord. Original pump lasted around 6+ months only; will see how long this one lasts.

Drinkwell Fountain Pump

Works well. Has good suction cups to hold in place. I'd recommend it, but the only drawback is it does have a loud humming/buzzing sound and it doesn't matter how much water I put in or which way I turn the fountain. I'd recommend it.

Hard to clean

We always keep an extra replacement pump on hand as it is difficult to disassemble & clean. So we replace it about 2 times yearly.

Just right

I bought my first drinkwell fountain several years ago,and it lasted well. I bought this new pump because the original one finally gave out. The new pump was very slightly different in dimensions, but when put to use, did the job just as well. So happy I stuck with it!

Drinking Pump Failure

Like the concept of a drinking fountain for my cat, but the constant pump failures are disappointing. Ordering another one today to replace a failed pump from 8 weeks ago..expect better life.
