Enjoy an Easier Walk with Your Pup

If your dog tends to pull on the leash, daily walks can be stressful for both of you. PetSafe's Gentle Leader Headcollar and Easy Walk Harness make the task of walking your dog an enjoyable experience. They give you immediate control and they're comfortable for your pet, unlike standard collars that can cause choking.

Enjoy an Easier Walk with Your Pup
Less Pulling, More Bonding

Less Pulling, More Bonding

Pet parents agree that the Easy Walk Harness makes such a difference that it's like walking a new dog. Instead of pulling your pup's neck, the Easy Walk redirects the entire torso. The leash connects at the chest with a Martingale loop, so a gentle tug moves her whole body in the direction you want to go. Less time playing tug-of-war means more time for bonding with your pet on your walks.

Uniquely Designed for Gentle Control

The Gentle Leader Headcollar puts you, not your eager walking buddy, in control of the walk. The nose loop redirects your dog's head toward you when she pulls. She'll quickly learn that she's not getting anywhere by pulling forward, and you'll have her full attention. The Gentle Leader is ideal for training dogs to heel and teaching them to walk on a leash without pulling.

Uniquely Designed for Gentle Control
Get the Perfect Fit

Get the Perfect Fit

Both the Gentle Leader and Easy Walk come in a variety of sizes to fit any dog comfortably.

The Easy Walk rests across the chest and wraps around the torso. If it looks like a sideways T, you'll know you have the proper fit. With four adjustment points and quick-snap buckles on the shoulder and belly straps, Easy Walk gives a reliable fit.

The Gentle Leader Headcollar slips securely over your dog's nose and sits high on her neck without putting pressure on her throat. It should form a V when fit properly, and your pup will still be able to eat and carry their favorite tennis ball along with them when wearing the Gentle Leader.

  • Best harness on the market for dogs that pull

    By on

I tried many products to control pulling. With the Gentle Leader, I started slowly, as recommended, and gave treats for encouragement. My dog saw a squirrel, pulled, and executed so many sumersaults, she should be in the doggy Olympics. It was horrifying to witness. I tried a harness that applied pressure behind the front legs and two other with front connections that would redirect a pulling dog. They were minimally helpful. I don’t know why the Pet Safe Easy Walker works better, but it does. I recently employed a dog trainer to help with my dog’s leash reactivity (aggression) problem, and the Pet Safe Easy Walk Harness is her recommended piece of equipment. • Life Changer!

This has to be the best purchase for my dog I have ever made. I have a 100lb Rottweiler and this works like a dream! I have tried harnesses, regular collars, choke collars, everything. I just could not take the pulling any more so when I saw this front clip harness I needed to have it. Easy to put on and adjust. One thing to be aware when you put it on is that it is easy to put the part that should be on the bottom of the body on the top. The different color connection should be on the bottom. I did not realize this until I saw it at a dog park on another dog and then re-read the instructions. It took some getting used to on my dog but he doesnt pull. Now that he is used to it he tries to pull but it is no where near as much as before. I was getting really bad shoulder pain from the pulling and I no longer have that. Easy to control the dog and maneuver their bodies with this harness. It is strong and clip is sturdy. I've had other clips break on where you connect the leash but this one is thick. If you have a dog that pulls I would highly recommend trying out this harness!!! … more

  • Works (kind of)

    By on

I have an adorably high-energy year and a half old pit/boxer/lab mix who likes to be the leader on our walks. While at first this harness worked like majic, within a few walks he was back to old habits pulling ahead. While I don’t dispute he may need professional training (hello Caesar 911!) I wonder about the usefulness of the clasp in the front; because while I agree it works to some extent at deterring pulling, it pulls either to the left or to the right depending on which side the leash is on and loosens the chest straps. Point is, while he still pulls I do believe it somewhat helps with his bad behavior.

  • wish it worked for every size

I read a lot of reviews about this for bigger dogs who pull a lot and decided to buy two of these one for my 1 year old shihtzu and one for my 8 months old pitbull. It works great for my pitbull but my shihtzu not so much she likes to go fast and she just gets her tiny little legs out of the harness without me even realizing. My pitbull caught on when I redirected him towards me but not my little shihtzu. Wish it worked for both because she pulls more than he does it's painful to watch. We ended up just having to hook it onto the back with the leash onto the harness itself not flipping the harness, so she wouldn't come out of it, which she did a total of 4 times and I had a heart attack every I read a lot of reviews about this for bigger dogs who pull a lot and decided to buy two of these one for my 1 year old shihtzu and one for my 8 months old pitbull. • Great but not 100% effective for my dog.

    By on

I have a very excited pitbull that likes to pull very hard on a leash. This was kind of hard to fit on him because he has such a wide chest, he's now out grown 2. It works but it doesn't completely prevent him from pulling. The most effective thing I ever had was the head halter, the one that wraps around the dogs mouth and kind of resembles a muzzle. I got tired of people assuming it was a muzzle so this harness has been nearly as effective. But if your dog is a really aggressive puller. It's made by this same brand

  • Easy Walk!

    By on

I’m a 6 month old collie pup and sometimes I get excited when we go on walks and see new friends . My mom would say I’m kinda a spaz but everyone loves to be jumped on...right? So she got me this new harness and we gave it a try. I was not sure at first but loved that it’s my favorite color gray and what she says is raspberry (LOL Mom it’s also gray duh!) It was a little snug but the customer service at chewy was super helpful in getting me a bigger size! Now, I love it! We go on longer walks and my mom looks less stressed when we meet people. I greet people on the ground and not at their face. I still get to jump at the dog park so it’s a win win.

  • Saved my aching shoulder!

    By on

This product worked for both my dogs, Size Large for my 60 lb Goldendoodle and small/medium for my 30 lb. Beagle mix. They both were terrible pullers when on the leash, they were pulling me like sled dogs! It was very frustrating because I love walking my dogs. Tried almost every other solution out there and this is the only item that solved the pulling. They still try to pull a little bit but for some reason they can't or won't pull very hard and they are extremely managable now on a walk. Starting to enjoy walks again!!

  • It's probably ok

    By on

Had a hard time getting the puppy to try it on and then getting the fit right. At first glance the harness has too many straps, buckles and loops. Ended up going to the pet store and purchasing a different harness with less buckles (only one) and after some coercion got him in it. Now it's no problem slipping the new harness on. We may go back and try this one someday. It's probably ok, just didn't work great for us, as 1st time dog owners.

  • Versatile and Easy to Use

    By on

These are great halters. I've used them for all my dogs. I recently bought this one for my big Lab/German Shepherd mix because her other halter was wearing out. Even if you don't have problems with your dog pulling, you can still use these. They're easy to put on and fit comfortably. I like the fact that they are adjustable on every strap so you can really customize them to your dog.

  • Great Harness for Pullers!

    By on

Our 7 month old pit mix was a mixed bag on a leash. When he pulled, he could nearly pull your arm out of he socket and his feet would come off the ground. As soon as we put this harness on him, there was no more pulling (even when he knew we were going to the dog park or his "best friend's" house to play). This harness is really a miracle worker when it comes to dogs that pull. My husband and I have noticed that even with just a collar and lead, our pup walks beautifully. I was worried about what others had said about rubbing since Champ has short hair, but even with multiple walks per day there has been no chaffing as long as we've made sure it's not crazy tight.
