Is the neck hole adjustable?

At this time, the neck hole is not adjustable but does offer an elasticized flex feature for added comfort.
Will the top handle be capable of lifting/carrying a 25 lb. dog for short periods of time?

The handle on the back of the harness can be used to lift your dog up. To select the best size we recommend that you measure your dog's chest girth (circumference), and weight. The sizing chart may be located by clicking the “Size” tab, next to the “Description” and “Instructions” tab, just under the product photos.
how to tighten the harness?

To adjust this harness, you must use the adjustable girth strap, located on the same strap as the two quick release buckles.
What size should I get for my 8 week old Havapoo?

To get the most accurate harness size for your pet, we recommend measuring their chest girth and comparing with the sizing chart. To measure chest girth, measure around the widest part of your dog’s torso, right behind the front legs. Leave room for two fingers to ensure comfort. If your pet falls in between two sizes, we recommended purchasing the larger size. Please refer to the complete sizing chart below:

Content w purchase

Happy w them, not in love. They have still been escaped from 2/2. They don't adjust much, so if you're on the fence about it, get a different style. I thought the handles were a nice touch for the small guys. My beagle pouts about his, and the whippet/collie pup doesn't care. But yes, both have still escaped from them, even when adjusted as best as we could. And they don't stay adjusted too well for active dogs, such as the pup. The ring is solid, and they are made well, and with the ring in the back of the harness, they get stuck and pull away/backwards and off goes the harness... 5 seconds tops.

Small around the neck

It's pretty reasonably priced & does list the size in inches. I measured my pug & just knew this medium sized harness would fit her but when it arrived I noticed the neck area isn't adjustable & it's small for a medium sized dog. It didn't fit my pug & going up in size to a large would be too long & too big around the body.

Great Harnesses

Bought two of these for my Catahoula leopard dogs. They work great. Comfortable fit, easy on and off, and best of all, I can use the handle to get my one reticent dog into the car. I can also use the handle to control the girls when they get crazy excited about getting leashed.

Neck too small!

I ordered an extra small in this harness according to the chart which only shows girth/weight amounts. THE NECK SIZE SHOULD BE INCLUDED on each size harness. Our 13 lb terrior mix was very patient putting it on over her head, getting if off was so tight I just cut it off her. Very constricting neck w.o any adjustments, the 'elastic' pieces inside the collar do not give enough to call them 'adjustments'! Very disappointed with this product and advise against purchasing it. Ended up in the trash bc I had to cut it around the neck to remove from our dog.

Size up

Our dog has a long neck. I ordered the right size based on the measurements given, but our dog was on the high end of the measurement. We can hardly get it over his head, ears. You should size up if you are close to the next size. We’ve already used it so we’ll probably have to have it altered. Would have been better off paying a little more for the next size. Also the part that goes around the neck is thick. Seems unnecessary?!

My pup absolutely loves his new harness

I have more control over my pup but he also like it because when he sees the harness he runs to it. He doesn't fight it, it's easy to get on him. Love all Chewy's products

Easy to put on

The small was too small and the medium is a little too big but because it is so easy to put on the constantly dogs x2 I’ll give it an A. BTW I measured the dogs as directed and they both fell into the small category. I called up customer service about it and very pleased with the outcome and how easy it was to rectify the problem. Very happy with CHEWY

We first ordered the XS size according to size chart but it was too small. My dog is only 17 LBS. I then got the small and it fit perfect. Very well made.

PetSafe Dog Harness

The harness is heavy duty and well made. It is easy to adjust. My only concern is that the material is a little stiff. Hopefully it will become a little more flexible with more use.

Way to small

My dog has a 20" girth so I got an XS but this halter will not fit over his head and it is not really elasticized. Ridiculous.
