PetSafe Extra Stubborn Dog In-Ground Receiver Collar

I’m so glad that I found this site, my husky is a escape artist and this is the only thing that keeps her from wondering off when she go outside(5 acres isn’t enough I guess,lol) thank you chewy for great service and very fast shipping you guys are my go too shop for everything doggie related.

I bought this because I was under the impression that you could have the collar beep then vibrate or beep then correct, but that is not the case. The collar beeps and vibrates, then corrects. You can only change the correction level. It is worth noting (PetSafe told me this)- The lowest level of correction on this collar is the same as a level 4 on a normal collar. I would keep that in mind, especially if you have smaller dogs. Had I known about the difference in the starting correction, and also understood the vibrate/ beep/ correction I would have bought the normal system instead of this one. With that being said, my dogs learned the fence in 3 days and it is really nice to have. Our dog would get excited to see the neighbors and just burst through her underground fence to see them. With the Stubborn Dog Collar she still has a great time in her yard but waits at the underground fence for anyone to come to her. It worked perfectly from the first day.

I have 5 large dogs they are dump offs they run autos and chased a few cows had to do something. 2 years ago I purchased collars and wire system one went bad replaced received it in 2 days.

The petsafe collars work wonderfully with my existing petsafe underground fence. I puts my mind at ease to know my pets are safe and remain in their yard when I can't be outside with them

Great product! Easy to use and easy to change settings! I have a stubborn pit mix that won't go through the fence. The easy to change settings is nice when training a puppy.

This product works great for my mountain cur/ redbone mix and my black lab. And if you know how the curs are you know how stubborn they are if they want something.

He is a one year old half Boxer, half Australian Shepard, with very short hair. He actually crosses the invisible line quite frequently and will even cross again to come home or when I call him. He seems to feel nothing from the collar. I have checked it several times, and it appears to be working correctly. I have not tested it on my own hand yet, but think I might have to. I hear the beeping noise/warning alert, whenever he gets too close to the line, and this phases him none also. I am guilty because I actually did not go through the recommended training procedure with him. In the beginning I know he got zapped because I saw him yelp and move back away. Have no idea what the deal is now though. I have not yet contacted anyone regarding this and am in the process of starting to get some support. Bottom line is I would recommend this collar as I have had great results with my other big dog wearing it. All sizes of these specific collars have worked out for all of the dogs I have had the privilege to own. Only issue ever is that after quite some time, I have had one prong break off of several collars, gorilla glue then helped out until I finally ended up buying a new collar each time this has happened. But overall each collar has lasted a good length of time and I can always find reasonable priced batteries online, never have paid the high price that can also be found online or in a store.
