    Great Dog Door

    By on

Easy instructions to cut the hole in the door. The 10 plastic screws are HARD to line up. Recommend you use pieces of metal or long nails to help in at least 4 holes. These will serve as keepers and will speed up the process. You also need two people, one on either side of the door to line up the screws. The dogs (both 80 pounders) were quick to figure it out. Good product.

Well this door was a complete let down. It’s bad enough these doors don’t last more then a couple of years , but they decided to change the opening size , so I had to add trim around the frame. I knew that going in but still not happy about it. The unit comes with plastic bolts , quests what gets brittle in cold weather (they sell it as an “extreme weather” door. The lining panels dot snap together and stay, there solution (not joking it’s really their solution) use tape to keep them together. I’m not holding up hope for this to last more then 6 months. Will be going with a new manufacturer in the future. This is overpriced garbage.

    Great thermal dog door

I got this to replace the old one that was finally wearing out after over 10 years of use by multiple dogs both small and large. The old one was still pretty functional but one flap had some edges broken off and both vinyl flaps were beginning to curl from wear over many years which was beginning to affect the seal so it was time to replace. The only problem I had was with the installation which was a bit more difficult than I thought it would be since it was replacing the exact same model. The plastic screws they give you are hard to push thru the frame unless the holes are perfectly aligned. Metal screws might be better.

Its ok was hoping for better

I live in northern mn. I've used the pet safe brand for years. Decided to try this one this winter. Coz boy do they let the cold air in. Instigation was ok. But now that its hitting 5degrees out the flaps are hard for my pugs to push in and out. Its keeping the cold air out. But defeats the purpose if I have to open the door to let them in because the doggy door isnt swinging well. Nervous to see how the actual winter plays out.

    Great Dog Door

    By on

This doggie door has changed my life! I am disabled by debilitating back and hip pain, with a 9 month old pup, and an eleven year old dog. After about a week of training, the pup goes in and out all day long, by himself! We’ve only had a few accidents, which are getting fewer by the day! A big difference from before Chewie’s wonderful door! Thank you so much, Chewie!

    Great pet door

    By on

This pet door is fantastic. We have a 17 lb Corgi and she can now go in and out as needed. We did remove the inside flap as it was harder to push through but we love the cover for when we don't want her to go outside. Great product

    Great door

    By on

This door is exactly the same size as the old one, but after nine years it broke. This one has weather stripping that came with it and my son says it is a better one. The only thing he didn't like was that the instructions wasn't very clear on some things. One of the things was the box (not sure that's what it is called), that fits into the wall to hold the dog door frames on the inside and outside together, kept falling apart. He put tape on it to hold it together, then at the "END" of the instructions it stated: "You might need to use tape to hold the box together.

    Sturdy Door

The large is big enough for our full-size Goldendoodle and our Boston Terrier, with room to spare. We live in Texas with lots of crazy heat and rainstorms, so we like the 3-flap insulation.
