Instructions
  • The Egg-Cersizer lets you adjust how easily the treats are dispensed. Start with an easy setting, allowing treats to come out quickly, so your cat associates the toy with a food reward. Once your cat gets the hang of it, you can increase the level of difficulty by making the openings smaller. It will take your cat longer to get the reward, thus encouraging longer play time. This appeals to your cat's prey drive; your cat will feel like she's catching and eating her prey every time she plays.
  • Dishwasher safe, top rack only.

So I tried getting these for an unusual reason lol

I actually bought a couple of these for my mice! Mice are very intelligent little critters, and to try and keep mine entertained, I decided to try and get something to put their food in so they'd have to work for it a bit more! For that purpose, though, these toys sadly didn't work out as well as I'd hoped. The toy does not stay upright once you put food in it; it immediately rolls onto the side, where from the photo I assumed there was some kind of weight in the bottom that would keep it upright so the animal using it would have to tip it over to get the food out. The holes are large, too, so the food pretty much falls out immediately. I would say, at this point, that the toy should just I actually bought a couple of these for my mice! The holes are large, too, so the food pretty much falls out immediately. I would say, at this point, that the toy should just be used for cats as intended--except that I'm not sure how it would work any better for cats, as, like I said, as soon as you put any food in, it would immediately fall out again. There's no way to really keep the food inside, so even for cats, the cats wouldn't really have to work to get their food or treats at all. All in all, whether you're looking to buy this for cats as intended or for another pet, I'd look at a different puzzle feeder. … more

    Less exercise than food control

    By on

Our cat was a free-feeder for years, but has recently gained a bit of chunk. I was hoping this would get her moving around a bit more. I do like that it has different settings as our sweet sweet baby is not the brightest bulb, so we set it on an 'easier' mode. It doesn't so much get her exercising as it does slow the rate at which she eats. She is less bloated after food time. While sometimes she still needs some help figuring out where the food comes from, eventually she will get hungry enough and get there.

Great toy with real benefits for kitty

My little girl really enjoys this. She picked up the concept very quickly, and on the second use, I left open only one hole. I left it for her when I had to go out, and when I returned, it was empty.

    funketty egg-cersizer

this is a good thing for her, She would eat a whole or half of a bag of treats without the cersizer . Now that she has to work for them, she does not eat as many, because she is lazy.

    A great buy !

    By on

If you read all of these negative reviews many of them say that the size of the dispensing holes are too big. I almost didn't buy it because of that. But there is in fact a dial at the top of the doy that allows you to make the holes smaller. A great toy for a great price !

    Fantastic Activity

    By on

My cats figured this thing out in 5 seconds but the cool thing is that you can adjust the hole so less treats come out making it much more intense at playtime. A good investment.

    My buddy loves it!

    By on

I adopted a 9 year old Siamese mix last summer. His last owner must have let him eat from the table because he literally will not leave me alone while I'm eating- jumping right onto the dining room table and everything, it was a nightmare. This toy has saved my dinners. Now whenever I'm at the table I give him a little scoop of his food with a treat or two in here and he stays occupied for about 20 minutes. I only open one opening as small as I can otherwise the game is over in 20 seconds.

    Helpfulfeeder

    By on

Very helpful for my cat to get her food this way! Used with a variety of food toys to slow her eating (helping her stay slender and satisfied). It works to help overeaters and nighttime beggars! This egg has a lot of adjustments to make it easy or pretty hard to get food. Easy to fill. Recommend
