Instructions
  • The Egg-Cersizer lets you adjust how easily the treats are dispensed. Start with an easy setting, allowing treats to come out quickly, so your cat associates the toy with a food reward. Once your cat gets the hang of it, you can increase the level of difficulty by making the openings smaller. It will take your cat longer to get the reward, thus encouraging longer play time. This appeals to your cat's prey drive; your cat will feel like she's catching and eating her prey every time she plays.
  • Dishwasher safe, top rack only.

  • 1 is good the other is not

I kept wondering why it was spilling out kibble. I just realized that even though I adjusted the opening on one side the other side was wide open. I have two of these and one is apparently defective. Otherwise it. is OK but not my favorite of her treat toys. I put kibble in them so she can eat a little at a time.

  • Great product!

I am fostering a cat who hides. He darts out to eat his food and then runs back to hide. This is the BEST. It took him just one feeding to get the idea. I leave it on the smallest opening and it's perfect for his kibble. He now loves to be out in the open. Worth the price.

  • Egg-Cersizer

Really awful design. The kibble or treats are tiny compared to the holes and they fall out immediately. None of my cats was entertained by this toy as they were able to get their treats out within a few moments of getting the toy. Great idea, poor design.

  • Kitty not convinced!

    By on

My 8 mos.old kitten is not convinced she needs to work so hard for morsels when they are so readily available elsewhere. I'm the obstacle to her prey instincts by providing easy alternatives.

  • Probably best for less... determined? Cats?

    By on

On a technical level, this ball was great; it dispensed the treats when bopped around as promised. Unfortunately, out of my three cats, the one that decided that all of those treats were HIS is also the smartest, most lazy cat I own. He gamed the system in less than six hours. The kittens used it as intended, though, and it worked like a charm, so. Really my only complaint is that even this plastic egg couldn't outsmart my seven year old grump, nor could it force him to put forth any form of effort. And since it never claimed to do either of those, I've gotta give it a 5 star rating

  • Phantom finds EGG!

    By on

it's a great idea to load treats in this colorful egg - he plays and gets treats when he's hungry (which is all the time). I wanted a way to give him treats other than just feeding him by hand, and this and the collapsible crinkle tunnel work nicely. He's a "senior" cat and doesn't play a lot, has a whole bag full of toys, including the baby mice. I ALWAYS appreciate Chewy's prompt service and delivery. Only shop online for Phantom's food, litter, toys. Chewy, you're GREAT!!

  • Smaller than expected

    By on

It took Blue around five minutes to figure out how to get the food. I used only one hole dispenser, well two if you count the bottom section. Would not buy it again. I'll just take the large plastic Easter eggs that I have in storage, use an exacto knife to cut a small square slightly larger than the cat food kibble. Now I have multiple feeders for the price of $1 and ten minutes work. Pics didn't take if Blue and his feeder.

  • holes are too big

    By on

Holes are too big. No way to keep treats from falling out even without movement. Defeats the purpose of the egg.

  • Leaves a mess.

Cat won’t play with it at all. To get treats to come out you have to open it way to far, where they fall out.

I really love this toy. My cats really enjoy batting it around the floor and getting a treat in the process.
