Allow your pet to become familiar with the ramp prior to first use. Lay the ramp flat on the ground and place treats or other items familiar to the pet on the ramp. Offering reassurance and praise, train your pet to walk on it in this position before using in an inclined position. Incline the ramp in small amounts and continue training before using with a vehicle or other higher surface. We recommend holding your pet’s collar or guiding them with a leash as they go up and down the ramp. Make sure pets walk only on the high-traction surface and stay away from the edges of the ramp.
To use: set the rounded, upper end on the surface to which the pet is climbing (car, couch, etc.), pull out the inner slide to the desired length and set the end on the ground. Some users prefer to extend the ramp first and then place in position for use.
Make sure the rubber feet at each end of the ramp are resting firmly on a stable upper and lower surface (car bumper, sidewalk, etc.). Failure to do this could allow the ramp to shift in use. The ramp is designed to hold itself in place when weight is applied, so there is no need for extra devices to lock the ramp in position. When finished, push the inner slide into closed position, and stow in a convenient place.
Cleaning & Maintenance: The fiberglass and plastic parts can be cleaned with mild household cleaner. The tread material can be cleaned with mild detergent and a stiff brush, or a strong jet of water. If a problem occurs, or a replacement part is needed, please contact Solvit Customer Service.

By Dozermom on Jan 19, 2021
Got this for our large labs to get on and off the bed with no issues on their joints and hips. Love it! Sturdy, easy to train the dogs to use great for large dogs. Only con is it heavy and doesn’t fold up.

Will be returning
By snake on Aug 14, 2020
I bought this for my Dachshund puppy to keep him from hurting his back. When I opened the box I immediately noticed the bottom was really rough like coarse sand paper, it also had been glued down with a lot of air underneath that hadn't been pushed out which left a lot of waves and bubbles in the sandpaper. Low quality workmanship. I also noticed pieces of fuzz or fur that was stuck and there were deep scratches in the sand paper. It was wrapped properly, no damage to the box so I wonder if it's not been used and returned. I took a lot of time researching a perfect ramp for my puppy, sadly this isn't a contender.

Perfect ramp for my senior dog
By Beachgirl on Aug 27, 2020
Needed a ramp to assist my 11 year old Chihuahua on to the sofa. Ramp is quite sturdy, looks nice, & the elevated sides provide security. Took about a week until he started to use it on his own. The surface resembles a sandpaper finish which some may not like, but it is genuinely non slip.

No good for small older dogs
By MW40 on Aug 9, 2020
After reviewing this particular ramp I was sure there would not be an issue. However, this ramp has very rough tread like the kind you can pedicure your nasty heels with lol - I have a 10lb elderly rat terrier & even though the ramp was placed on an ottoman about the same height for a couch it is too steep - I will need to invest in an adjustable ramp.

Great product
By Ella on Jul 28, 2020
I have a large dog. She easily navigated the ramp. It is very sturdy and adjustable, so the angle can be changed as needed for your dog. One thing to be aware of is the surface of the ramp. The non slip surface is great, however, there is an issue in hot weather. Due to the black coating, the ramp surface heats up very quickly in the sun.

Best ramp ever
By Waters on Jun 12, 2020
We had another ramp that folded . We have a larger Rottweiler that had knee surgery. He hated the first ramp. It was shaky and he didn’t want to go up it. At 130 lb lifting him was not an option. So I ordered this ramp. It it light weight ,slides together. It is a little wider and very stable. He goes up and down it with out any issues. It works great for our SUV and our camper. And price was reasonable. It was about $20 more than the one we weren’t happy with. But well worth it. Thank you chewy for having great products on your site for our fur babies.

sturdy and light
By Laura on May 11, 2020
I originally purchased collapsible steps that were very narrow and shaky. This ramp is well worth the money. It is light and can fit in my car. My dog feels very safe on it! It gives me a lot of peace on mind to know I'll be using this for my senior and making the rest of his life pleasant.

I'm really up in the air about it.
By Catmama on Apr 12, 2020
I bought 2 one for my dog and one for my grandpas dog. I tried it out on the bed and it was hard to place without sliding down. It doesn't work for rear back seat doors in cars. The door doesnt open wide enough and the ramp is pretty wide across. Overall it's great, very sturdy and also light enough to carry. I guess just not what I was looking for.

don’t hold up
By Dre1 on Jul 30, 2020
Surface does not hold up. I’ve only had it two months and it’s already torn up.
