How big is the opening for the kibble? My dog is on prescription food and the pieces are fairly large.
Answer by ChewyOct 22, 2021
The Kibble Chase Roaming Treat Dropper works with any dry kibble or hard treats under 0.5 inches wide.

Can the dog roll this toy on her own to dispense the treats or does the battery option have to be used. Looking for something interactive for our beagle.
Answer by ChewyOct 18, 2021
This toy does require batteries to operate.

Can you use this for cats?
Answer by ChewyMar 26, 2021
Though the toy is designed to move in ways that dogs tend to prefer, if your cat is interested in this type of toy, this would be suitable.

How much kibble can it hold?
Answer by ChewyMar 17, 2021
This Kibble Chase Roaming Treat Dropper Dog Toy can hold up to ½ cup of kibble.

I don't recommend it - broke fast, not interesting to dog when it did work

I would save your money on this one. First complain is it stopped working within a month. I came back to here to see other reviews and a lot of people said the battery compartment is not accessible so I didn't even try. Second note is the dog wasn't that interested. When it moved, it moved slowly. Just not an interesting toy. Pass on this.

Loud and crazy

Unfortunately my dog is terrified of this toy. He has and enjoys a large number of treat dispensing toys so I thought this toy would be a great new challenge for him. It's very loud and the movements are fast on hard floors. If you are even questioning if your dog will like it then I'd suggest a different toy. This toy is only for dogs that don't mind loud and crazy toys.

has potential

Had the toy for a few days and it turns off after about a minute of being on. So I have to turn it back on constantly every minute for it to entertain my dog. Maybe mine came damaged.

Way slower than I expected

Maybe my expectations were high, but I expected my dog to have to actually chase this toy. It barely moves at a snail's pace, even with new batteries. Loki will just casually walk up to it, pick it up and put it on its side to get the kibble to fall out. He still gets excited when I pull it out, but maybe I should just buy an r/c car and tie a bone to it.

Great Buy!

I’m VERY happy with this item and so is my 10-month old puppy. He was terrified of it initially, but now interacts with it and will paw it to restart it when it stops. My only complaint is the dispenser door can close sometimes if he hits it just right. I would give it five stars if it were rechargeable and the little door didn’t close, but those two things aren’t dealbreakers. I’m going to buy some rechargeable batteries so my puppy can chase his kibble dreams, lol!

Useless because battery compartment is inaccessible

Couldn't get the battery compartment open using any of our screwdrivers so it's pretty much useless. We tried over several days with several tools.

Can’t get the screw out to put in battery

Saw a previous review had the same issue, for $30 this is ridiculous. The photo shows after I tried unscrewing it, it does come out at all, just turns

I wish I didn't have carpet

Overall, it works pretty well. It's a handy little toy that feeds my corgi-jack russel mix pretty well. If you have any kind of hard floors, I'm willing to bet that it's much more fun to watch them figure it out because it moves farther. Other than needing a screwdriver to open and close the battery door, it's very easy to use. The last couple pieces of food seem to get stuck and need to be shaken out but if I were more patient, they'd come out on their own.

Great Purchase!

My dog eats way too fast, so we have been trying to get creative in how we feed him. This has been such a fun solution to the issue! We put half of his serving in a slow feeder bowl and the other half in this toy and he not only eats slower but has a ton of fun with it. He gets so excited when we take it out! It also helps with keeping him distracted when we are trying to get some stuff done around the house. Can't recommend it enough!

Can't give it a proper rating!!

See the attached photo for reference-but I'm BEYOND SAD. Chewy sent me this in like 12 hrs as a replacement for a toy I thought I was getting but it was poorly worded in its description. Thanks Chewy!! I was SO EXCITED to give this to my grand puppy today, BUT as you can see, not sure if we'll ever be able to use it because the screw will NOT open. It's disintegrating!!! So, I gave it two stars because it got here SO fast and Chewy replaced the other dumb toy I ordered not realizing it wasn't an electronic interactive toy. This looks cool and looks well made BESIDES this danged screw!! I wish we could get some batteries in. My question is, what happens in the future, even if we by some miracle get the screw to open because I'm sure it needs new batteries every month or more. Right now, it's just a useless cylinder. Hoping we can get the screw out and that we find a replacement screw. And my opinion is, for $30 this shouldn't happen. But... It could be a great toy. I just don't know.
