I don’t get this. I dispenses one kibble at a time, correct? So how do you feed an entire meal? One kibble at a time?

This is meant to train dogs with treats. The trainer isn't intended to be used for feeding meals.
Does it have an automated mode? Dispensing automatically without the remote?

This product comes with an auto-dispensing mode. This option can be selected by the remote.
Is this device effective in decreasing barks? My dog barks at EVERYTHING and it’s often difficult to get him to lessen or stop barking at every little thing.

Does this have a strong enough signal to work through walls, such as when I'm downstairs and my dog is upstairs, or when we are in different rooms?

The remote can indeed work through walls, and from distances up to 100 feet.

Worth every penny, versatile, & durable.

I have an adolescent Border Collie who is definitely pushing my patience now that he's in his "teenage" years. We're constantly on the hunt for ways to stimulate his mind and this treat and train is so versatile on that front. If your dog has separation anxiety, definitely get this! While you're at it, check out Susan Garrett's podcast on how to approach separation anxiety using the treat & train. This product can be used in so many ways. It even comes with a very informative booklet teaching you how to teach your dog various things (ie., down stay, sit stay, etc). We put this on the top of our dog's crate (wire crate type) so that when he's showing good behavior, I can press the button on the remote that this comes with to reward him. We keep a giant snuffle mat in there so then he goes sniffing away in the mat to find the treat! Great way to reduce boredom on days you can't give as much attention to your fur baby. The treat and train lasts a good while on batteries, which makes it ultra portable, so you can train ANYWHERE!! It also comes with two different disc things so that you can use different size treats. We have rarely had problems with it jamming too depending on type of kibble/treats. To avoid this, we drop the treats through the hole size we choose to "filter" out the larger pieces that might get stuck. It takes some time, but saves any potential issues of jamming. If we bake treats for training, those are perfect and require no filtering (like his kibble since they are all not perfectly same shape). The remote works very well and has a large range, which is wonderful because I can reward him for zero barking as I'm walking around/getting ready to leave for work. You can set various volumes for the noise it makes every time a treat is dispensed. It almost sounds like the beep sound those machines make at the hospital that monitor vitals (if that makes sense :). If you set it without the sound, it's not the quietest due to the motor that it has, but not too obnoxious either. You can also set it to dispense a treat automatically at certain time intervals you set (like every 3 sec, etc.) which is useful when we're teaching him how to stay in his bed/"hot zone" in a down/sit position. There's also a random setting, so that it will change the treat dispensing frequency randomly. If the treat does jam, it will make a beeping noise and then flash an orange light. If the treat jams and I don't hear the noise in the room, then I'll notice the flashing orange light. It's also pretty easy to drop in the treats by opening the cover. Pretty cool too that you can take off the holder attachment where the treat would fall into (we have to have it off when we use it on the crate). Like I said, super versatile machine, well worth the cost in my honest opinion if you're using it for its intended purposes.

1 star for personal experience, but 5 for concept

Somehow neither of my dogs are bothered by a vacuum, lawnmower, or chainsaw but the noise made by the motor in this freaks them both out. The thought of it dispensing food should make it something wonderful unfortunately this just isn’t something every dog will agree with, sometimes that’s just how it is. It’s worth noting we’ve done a solid week of training to get them use to it but no dice. It does include a great training book and the concept of it is wonderful just wish they weren’t so apposed to it otherwise I’d give it 4 or 5 stars

Quit working after a few months

This worked great for a few months and then quit working. We registered it with the company and they never responded to requests for a replacement. Don’t waste your money

Train your dog

Great way to train your dog for agility and also great to train them not to be focused on your hands. Wish it had rechargeable batteries and it does become jammed every so often but it still is a big help with training. So happy I got it

Love this training device

I purchased this after lots of debate whether it would be worth the money or not and I am so glad I did! My agility dog and I have been struggling with weaves and this has been a great help in teaching him to drive forward instead of looking to me. I am also using it with my other dogs to help with impulse control. I am just sorry it took me this long to get one! 100% recommend. The only negative is that it did not come with the battery for the remote like it stated it did. Luckily I had one that size on hand so I could use this immediately. A very small issue and not one that would ever lead me to not encourage anyone from purchasing this product!

Disappointed.

As a dog trainer I was on the fence about ordering this product because I've heard mixed reviews. Unfortunately my experience wasn't great and I'm disappointed. It uses batteries fast which makes using it expensive and the delay with reward is disappointing. Wasn't able to use and now it's a expensive decoration.

Great remote trainer!

I use this for everything from stationing training to running dog walk work in agility. It's a super helpful tool, I'm so glad i bit the bullet and finally got one!! Now I'm thinking about getting a second one so I have one for home and one for the van...

So helpful with separation anxiety and crate training !

This device is easy to use, the dogs take right to it. They provide detailed instructions. I was able to use the remote from inside another building while watching my dogs on camera. Pretty awesome ! I am creating a calm, relaxed dog with my absence as well as inside their kennel. If anyone out there is challenged with separation anxiety or crate training- you need this !!
