I have been very on and off about getting a hands free leash but now that I’ve got one, I’m never going back to a regular leash on my morning and evening walks. I have a 60 pound dog and it works wonders for him. Now I won’t recommend for someone that has a dog that pulls them all around with a normal leash, but I’ve put in my time to get my dog walking really good with a normal leash (the occasional squirrel still gets us lol) but I really feel like this hands free leash will get us even closer to my goal of being able to walk without a leash. I really like that the leash goes from about four feet all the way to six feet so when we are on sidewalks I can keep my pup close and when out on trails he can have a little more freedom. The belt part is also very accommodating for dog parents of all sizes, it have two different adjustable areas one doesn’t get it very big but the second one makes it so that it can go almost if not more then the length of the leash
This product the leash is nice and perfect length but the waist band is not big enough to fit around woman's waist with wide hips. I littlerly had to put it up under my boobs to fit, clearly not what expected. It says it would expand to larger size but nothing on it is adjustable to make it big enough. It would fit maybe a small child's waist not and adult. Said would expand to 58 in waist. It only goes as big as 38. That is not hooked closed, around waist. I could only fit it up under my breast line not my waist. My waist line is closer to 40 in, So once this is closed with the Velcro it's closer to 34in. Do not recommend unless you have a waist line under 30 in.
This is the easiest hands free leash I’ve used. I have a 35 lb pit mix that I take to work sometimes and needed a hands free leash. She hasn’t had any issue getting used to it. She tends to pull so I wouldn’t use this in situations where she has a lot of things she wants to chase after. Because it goes around your waist you need to anticipate your dog pulling so they don’t pull you off balance.
I needed to be handsfree on my walks. This leash does the trick. A couple times he has pulled when he seen a dog, and the Velcro Did not come apart. Thinner than my normal leash but thats ok too. Lets my hands free to carry weights.
I wish there was a little more length ability as I have a long stride and the pups and I were use to a longer extension, we aren't running though so maybe for runners it's the perfect length. Once adjusted to your waist, it's easy and seems like it will work well for the long haul. It swivels around easily enough when the pup gets ahead/behind/or sideways. I liked it so much I gifted one to my friend who just had shoulder surgery so she could still get out!
So far I have only used it less than 10x but it makes life so much easier. Though, owners be aware that your dog needs to be trained to heel. Otherwise, you will go flying when your dog pulls, it happened to me once. But I definitely recommend this. The leash is actually detachable and can be attached to a backpack also.
Love the idea of it. Hands free! But it certainly doesn’t measure 54 inches around the waist. Much shorter. Had to reconfigure to make it work.
Great now that the cold weather is moving in. Lets me keep my hands in my pockets or hold my hot drink while I walk my dog. It’s a shame I lost the belt part. It was great though!
I hook this around my hips for more support. It just fits. I wish I had just a little more room to push it down further on my hips. I can run with my dog. I would not recommend this for a dog that pulls.
Our Aussie gets pretty excited about hikes and not having to handle a lease and watching where we are walking is a huge plus. She took to the new lease really well and everyone is a happy hiker. Also having the lease at the waist frees up hands for hiking poles or other items.
