Used with a leash or with your hand, the martingale-style Premier Collar tightens to give greater control and reduces the risk of a dog backing out of his collar and escaping. Safer than a choke collar.
Prevents dog from slipping out of the collar, doesn't cause matting & bald spots like some standard collars.
Tightens when dog pulls and loosens when dog stops, perfect for “escape artists” and breeds with necks larger than their heads.
Durable nylon collar's custom fit is perfect for growing puppies.
Safer & more comfortable than a choke chain that's always tight.
Not recommended for tie-out use or during group play sessions.
Collars should be used under supervision. Not recommended for tie-out. Always remove collars during play, when unsupervised and before placing in a crate. For more information about collar safety refer to PetSafe® KeepSafe® Break-Away Collar
To select the most accurate size collar for your pet, measure the center of their neck with a cloth tape measure, a few inches down from their head. Pull the cloth tape measure snug, but not tight. If you don't have a cloth tape measure, you can use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there’s enough room for about two fingers between the collar and your pet’s neck for comfort.
This thing is a joke. It is supposed to fit a 19 inch neck but it don't. It slips right over his head when he pulled on it. I had to run and chase him down and that was not fun at all. Plus the loop that hangs to tighten when they pull is to bulkey around the neck. It really bother him alot. I just don't like it but it dose not mean that it will not work for another dog. Mine will just set on a self just to look at not unless I get another dog with a bigger neck. I still love my Chewy. Sincerely yours Wanda G Costner :-)
Functionality and Inexpensive

I bought this for my new rescue dog. She was not used to walking on a leash or wearing a collar. This provides gentle Corrections and is escape-proof. The price can't be beat. Local pet shops went $22 Plus for the same collar.
I unfortunately forgot to remove it as soon as we got home and she was able to chew it in half while wearing it. My fault entirely!
I have seen some reviews saying they don't like taking it off to put in a crate. No collar of any kind should be left on a dog in a crate or cage, as they can hang themselves. These colors are meant for walking and training purposes only. I would buy again

Absolutely love this! I have a 88 pound Doberman who use to drag me all over the side walks. We found a trainer who recommended this collar to us and showed us the appropriate fitment and where it should be placed while on walks. ( it’s a bit low in the photo but we adjusted it). He no longer pulls me, behaves so well on walks. I definitely recommend!

This is an excellent collar for training puppies or small dogs. Purchased the petite. Far better then other collars that apply to much pressure on the dogs neck-throat.
Not as shown

We’ve used martingale collars for years. This one is designed in a double loop kinda way that I wouldn’t allow my dog to wear as the second loop sticks out. There are 2 loops that don’t interconnect as shown. Tried to send back but never got an approval. It doesn’t come apart so there is no way to reconfigure it. It’s in the trash. Maybe defective?

Does not work as described. My dog was able to get ahold of the smaller loop and chew it apart. Smaller loop is not built into the larger loop. It just hangs down and annoys the dog, thus he chewed it up.
Manufacturing Error makes this collar useless
on Jan 1, 2021
The collar is not sold as pictured. There is a problem with how it is sewn together rendering the collar essentially useless if you need it to serve its purpose of tightening around the animals neck when trying to correct behavior. Petsafe's martingale collar with the buckle closure is the better option. This one will fail you.

My dog trainer recommended this collar for my dog because he pulls hard. We were using a chain but we believed it was doing damage to our dogs throat. Within a couple days we noticed a change in his behavior and he doesnt pull as much. The collar gently tightens unlike a chain.
Great for training.

I thought it was great for training but my dog thought it was tasty. Should be removed when not using. I made the mistake of leaving it on and she tore it up. She has done this to harnesses too. But it is an effective tool. I'll probably reorder soon.
