Ideal for apartments or in times when you can’t just let your pet out, this system gives your dog, cat or other small pet a convenient and more comfortable alternative to potty pads. How do I clean it?
To clean up your pet’s waste, remove the waste container and dump the urine in your toilet or yard. The waste container holds 2 liters of liquid and is made of a material that reduces odor. For even easier cleanup, place a Pee Pod into the waste container. These disposable pods are lined with our Wee Sponge powder that solidifies into a gel when it comes in contact with liquid, effectively trapping urine and odors. For your pet’s solid waste, use a pooper scooper or a poop bag.
Does your dog lift his leg to mark his spot? Place a small vertical object like a disposable cup or flowerpot in the middle of the Pet Loo, then remove it once your dog is comfortable using the Pet Loo.
Can I buy more than one and join them together?
Yes. This setup is perfect for multiple pets, very large pets, or pets who need extra room to circle before using the Pet Loo. The Pet Loo has been designed so that two or more units can easily be placed next to one another to create the feel of a park.
Can I move The Pet Loo around or does it have to stay in one place?
You may need to do this in the crucial training stage, but please note that although your dog may be using the Pet Loo confidently, a sudden change may be confusing. Make sure that if you are moving the location of The Pet Loo, that your dog is introduced to the Loo’s new position promptly and in a positive manner. The Pet Loo is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
How often do I have to change the synthetic grass?
While we have gone to great strengths to make Pet Loo grasses as durable and tough as possible, Pet Loo Grass will need replacing over time. This will depend on how often you clean the Loo, how many dogs are using it, and the Loo’s positioning. Average use will require replacement grass every 6-12 months.
Is it okay if my pet sleeps and eats on the Pet Loo?
Any activity other than toileting should not take place on or near the Pet Loo. Pets generally don't like to use the bathroom where they eat or sleep. This is why crate training works for puppies. Feeding your pet by the Pet Loo could cause your pet to stop using it.
My puppy keeps chewing the synthetic grass and pulling it off the Pet Loo. What can I do?
We do not fasten the synthetic grass onto the base unit as the fasteners would act as a trap for bacteria. As a temporary solution, you can attach small velcro dots to the corners of the grass while your dog gets accustomed to the Loo.
The synthetic grass seems to be losing grass blades around the edge.
Pet Loo grasses do not have finished edges because it would be a trap for bacteria. If the mat is cut on the tuft, it is normal for the grass to shed at the edges, just as a new carpet would. This should stop over time and is nothing to worry about in terms of the product’s effectiveness.
Why is my Pet Loo starting to smell?
Although you may be following the cleaning instructions closely, every pet is different – and so is his pee! Age, gender, and diet all play vital roles in the waste your dog produces. So if you are finding that your Loo is starting to smell, consider a cleaning product such as Wee Care or Pet Pods.
Wee Care is an enzyme-based solution designed to eliminate unwanted odors from your pet’s waste. It works by breaking down the fatty particles and proteins found in waste. Wee Care, like our entire enzyme cleansing range, is chemical free and 100% safe for people, pets, and the environment.
The revolutionary Pee Pod is a biodegradable container that fits neatly inside the waste container of the Pet Loo. When your pet’s urine touches the Wee Sponge powder, it solidifies into a gel, trapping liquids and airborne odors. The Pee Pod can hold about 2 liters of liquid. Simply throw out the pod and replace it with a new one every few days.
My Pet Loo Replacement Grass does not fit the Pet Loo.
If you purchased one of the very original Pet Loos (circa 2006-2007), you will notice that it is 2 centimeters or less than an inch larger in both width and length. Replacement Grasses for these Loos are not always in stock at your local pet store. Call our Customer Care Center to request a special replacement.

Not Great.
By dogpottymisshap on Jul 18, 2019
I got this for my apartment balcony since my dog doesn’t like stairs. The “Wee-Wee Sponge” is awful. It easily causes overflows which unfortunately can leak onto my neighbors grass. She poops just fine on this turf but would rather pee on my concrete which is not good for many obvious reasons and now I’m sure my neighbor hates me since I’ve tried to wash both our patios off and concrete is very porous and I have no clue how to clean it without it affecting my neighbor.

Disappointed
By Owner on Sep 17, 2019
Neither of my little dogs will come near the box much less use it. It was very expensive and it is so small my chihuahua mix could barely have room to do her business, even if she tried.

Didn’t work
By Debra on Sep 12, 2019
My dog wouldn’t use it. I bought it for the hurricane and no matter how I put my dogs scent on it, he wouldn’t use it.

Good idea, but needs improvement..
By April on Apr 2, 2019
First, the clips are incredibly difficult to snap in place and litteraly hurt my fingers every time. The grass pad isn't really cut properly or maybe it is the way the clips are designed, but it just never seems to fit right.. My dogs urine never seems to make it past the grass pad. It is too thick maybe? The crystals are basically fully dry, even after a few days... After one day of using it, the grass pad already stinks because it is just holding the urine in it. My dog is literally stepping on nasty pee grass every day until I have time to wash this, which is an ordeal and not as easy to get fully clean as they make it out to be. I had a cheaper version of this that didn't have the slope First, the clips are incredibly difficult to snap in place and litteraly hurt my fingers every time. extremely poor quality for the price.
By Marta on May 25, 2019
I never post comments...BUT ....It was used for several days and the plastic poor quality dog ripped up right away....the clips visible to the dog ...they were also taken off immediately.... another thing the crystals...way too little for where the urine is suppose to drip to. He did not use not even once even with the attractant. Would not recommend. Waste of money.

Awesome - a bit small for goldendoodle but works just fine!
By Molly on Apr 26, 2019
My goldendoodle used to have a very large porch potty but I just bought this one and a small flat one to put next to it so she has enough room to go both poo and pee. I like the urine catching tray as well and the clamps to keep the AstroTurf connected to the base.

Highly Recommend!
By Rose on Apr 16, 2019
We have an 18lb Sheltie and although have a large fenced yard we started to have a coyote issue. Not being able to just leave him outside alone for safety issues, we put this on an enclosed upper deck and a doggie door from inside. He is 3 years old and was already into his routine so we were concerned, however he got it right away and now uses this when the backyard is not an option! This is a lifesaver when you are both away for the evening or all day, no more "we need to leave to go let the dog out," or middle of the night, gotta go out! We are so pleased we got this, great idea!

chewing and puppies.

The edges of the grass needs to be finished off, because most time this Dog Potty is for puppies and they crew the grass edges.

Portable potty pad
By Dawn on Apr 10, 2019
So I bought this for my dog run. It needs more clips and they need to be hidden or flat or not noticable to dogs. Some dogs kick grass after going potty. Clips popped off dog chewed them up it might be better for small dogs and not bully dogs or large breed.
