PetSafe Premier Martingale Dog Collar, Red, Large, 1-inch
Dog/Leashes & Collars/Collars
Used with a leash or with your hand, the martingale-style Premier Collar tightens to give greater control and reduces the risk of a dog backing out of his collar and escaping. Safer than a choke collar.
Prevents dog from slipping out of the collar, doesn't cause matting & bald spots like some standard collars.
Tightens when dog pulls and loosens when dog stops, perfect for “escape artists” and breeds with necks larger than their heads.
Durable nylon collar's custom fit is perfect for growing puppies.
Safer & more comfortable than a choke chain that's always tight.
Not recommended for tie-out use or during group play sessions.
I bought the Black Large 1" PetSafe martingale collar. Very sturdy!
It fits perfectly on my dog. I keep it on my dog 24/7 and have no problems with that.
My dog never slips out of it when on walks.
I clip the ID tags on one of the rectangle metal adjusting loops.
I like that it has no plastic and I just had to slip it over my dog's head.
I used to volunteer at a dog rescue in the past and they always had this collar on all their dogs 24/7 without any issues.
I trust this martingale collar.
Martingale collars are a great safety device.

I am a big believer in martingale collars for dogs. When dogs are frightened or just want to get out of a collar they will back away, pulling their collar over their heads. The human instinct is to pull harder, just making it easier for the dogs collar to be pulled off the dog entirely. Martingale collars work by tightening, not choking, behind the dogs ear/jaw area, making it impossible for the collar to be pulled off. Control of the dog and his or her safety is maintained.
Best Collar Ever

We have a 93# American Pitbull, who gets very excited easily and broke through his last collar on the plastic belt. This collar is much stronger, with less ability to break free. We're still getting used to the over the head method, but I see no signs of our pup being able to break out of this one. Totally recommend!!

I love this collar. It's comfortable for my dog and I feel confident when I walk him because I know he can't slip or back out of his collar. I absolutely love the small metal area to hang my dogs rabies and county tags...its so much easier then hanging them on the metal ring where you clip the leash on. It also comes in so many colors which I like.
Great collar, nice price

I won't use anything but martingale collars on my dogs for safety. I needed one for a new foster....an untrained but sweet Pittie. Collar arrived quickly, on the same day as the new Foster. It has held up to her strong pulling and I know she will be safe because she cannot slip out of it.
Durable and functional

My greyhound has had this collar for more than five years.
It's very durable, if a little large. We can slip it over his head, but this is more an effect of the breed's small head than fault with the collar. He lunges after small pray daily and has never slipped out of the collar.
The collar has lasted through many washings and is still as sturdy as it was years ago. The color has faded, which is to be expected. I would definitely recommend this collar.
good quality but very loose

The collar is designed to be loose on the dog and tighten if they pull on leash, however i think the loose is too loose on this product. It has A LOT of slack when the dog isnt actively pulling
Sophie the escape artist

This collar does everything it should as far as tightening and size and all that, however, my puppy is a professional escape artist, I purchased this for that reason and she got out of this.
Good Looking and Well Made

Great collars for my Pugs, durable , colorful and sturdy metal rings. Collars look good and fit well. I use harness for leash walking but these collars keep tags and licenses in place.

So I bought this collar for my dog thinking I wouldn't have to buy another collar for at least another six months. But my luck being what it is, she has the thing on for not even three hours and she breaks it. I was hoping for a somewhat decent collar, but given the fact that I paid less than six dollars for it, I shouldn't have expected it to last for long.
