PetSafe Premier Quick Snap Martingale Dog Collar, Red, Large, 1-inch
Dog/Leashes & Collars/Collars
This martingale-style dog collar has an added quick-release snap buckle for easier on and off. Martingale collars are safer than choke chains or prong collars. Used with a leash or with your hand, the martingale collar tightens when your dog pulls and loosens when he stops, so it’s only tight when it needs to be. These collars give you greater control and reduce the risk of your dog slipping out and escaping.
Prevents dog from slipping out of the collar, doesn't cause matting & bald spots like some standard collars
Tightens when dog pulls and loosens when dog stops, perfect for “escape artists” and breeds with necks larger than their heads
Durable nylon collar's custom fit is perfect for growing puppies
Quick-snap buckle for easy on and off, safer & more comfortable than a choke chain that's always tight
Not recommended for tie-out use or during group play sessions
I bought this collar to start leash training my GSD. She's 1.5 years (I know, I'm a little late to the party), 69 lbs, her neck measures 18.5 inches. I probably could have gotten the medium even though it says 11-15 inches. I had to tighten this one almost as far as it could go. But the training is going well so far, and I love how easy it is to take off with the buckle once I'm done with the training session.

I purchased this Martingale collar becuase our current collar slide over our pets head which created a problem - our dog has a big head and narrow neck. This collar is perfect. The clip connection is secure yet easy to get on and off. I plan on purchasing the next size up as our puppy grows.

Follow the size measurements before you buy. I didn't like the shade of blue as it's more of faded blue color but that's not visible in the images. A fine quality collar. The Martingale part of the collar is a bit longer than I think it needs to be but on a large dog would probably be fine.

I have been looking for a purple collar for my fur baby, they are hard to find in pet stores. It is a great quality and the quick release fastener is strong and durable. I have more control over her pulling on me with the gentle pull that this collar has.Very nice collar in deed.
Best and safest collar I ever used

Excellent, well made, worth every penny. All the features of a choker with the comfort/look of a regular collar. Luv that I can control and correct my dog when I don’t have his harness on. No slipping or stretching of the collar like u would have with a leather collar. Easy to clean.
Martingale Collars are the best

I was introduced to the Martingale collars when we adopted a greyhound dog. I have fallen in love with this type of collar, I have ended up replacing all of my other dogs collars to Martingales. The collars give the dogs the room to breath but also they are unable to break the collar when attached to a leash and pulling no matter the strength of the dog.
Collars for my girls

I purchased 2 of these collars, they are great for my big girls. I like the fact that when they are on a leash it gets tighter, as I have one girl who pulled out if her previous collars, this will not allow her to do that.

Love the matching collar to my purple leash. Haven't used it yet. Need to wait on my girl to grow into it. She had gotten real sick and didn't think she was gonna make it.
It is exactly the type I was looking for.

I ordered a medium raspberry collar for my goldendoodle. She was 4 months old then and is 9 months old now. She is 56 pounds now. It fit her then and now, as we have adjusted it. We walk her with a harness but the collar is perfect for just going in the yard or if I need to grab her at the dog park. She can't slip out but it can't choke her either. The color is nice and still looks pretty good. It has been durable, but I don't allow her to chew it.
Secure collar for walking/training!

[Bought black medium 1-inch size for 3 month old GSD/Husky] I figured my pup would grow into it, but don't make the same mistake that I did. Choose the most accurate size possible! The collar was loose at the moment so the martingale loop dangled too much and he ended up chewing halfway through it haha. If the collar is loose, it will still work great with a leash as long as your dog can't escape from the tightest position, though it will probably not be good to wear off leash if it is dangling. After my pup grew a bit and I sewed the collar back together, it functioned perfectly for everyday wear :) Overall amazing collar for the price!
