Way too big!

I measured my dog's neck - exactly 11 inches. I decided to go for the medium - 11-15 inch -size rather than small, which says it's largest circumference is 11 inches - to ensure that my little fur baby wouldn't be choked. We have tightened this collar as far as possible and it's 15 inches around - we fastened it to be sure. Now I don't know if I should purchase the small and hope for the best. So- I can't recommend it because the sizing is off.

Sizing is wrong

I purchased this item in large size. My dog's regular collar is a large and her neck size is 17". The collar I ordered states it adjusts from 13" to 20". When adjusting, it only goes down to 18". It is too big for her. It would slip off her neck if she pulled back. It is made well, very sturdy. I have not returned this as yet.

good product

Our dog's head is a lot smaller than his neck so when he gets stubborn his head slips out of his collar. I decided to purchase this collar and I absolutely love it. He doesn't gasp and it doesn't choke him. When it starts to get tight he stops. I like that it doesn't hurt him and it does the job very well.

Caveat: Didn't meet stated size, but good product otherwise

The large said for necks 13-20, but when it arrived, the tag confirms it's a large, but it starts at 20 and I needed 18 so we couldn't use. That is the only reason for the low rating.

Excellent quality

Functions perfectly for my 75 lb dog who usually pulls when I walk her: this collar design nstantly stopped the pulling and we can now walk at an even pace. The collar immediately tightens with extreme pulling and immediately loosens once she stops.

This collar is amazing

I like this collar because it feels like I have more control over my dog. My puppy will buck like a pony when a leash and collar pull her neck. Using this Martingale collar makes me feel like I am controlling my dog with a joystick. I can guide her, direct her, she follows and does not pull once she is noticing it. --TLDR: I don't know how it works but this collar is amazing.

Order a Smaller Size

Ugh! I should read the reviews instead of just looking at the average rating and ordering. Sizing is totally wrong! It says 13-20 inches for Large. My puppy's neck is 14 inches and still growing, so I got the large. It's WAY to big. No way will it work on a 14 inch neck. Will have to exchange for a smaller size. Otherwise, the quality is really nice. I like the collar itself. They really need to redo the sizing chart.

Sizing incorrect

It's a nice collar, however I ordered a Medium which is supposed to measure between 11'' - 15". When I made the collar as small as it would adjust to, the smallest I could get it was 16" so it is much too large for my dog.

Love These Collars

I actually ordered the wrong size and Chewy was so quick to respond when I wanted to return it. They shipped out another one at no cost and told me to donate the bigger one to a shelter. They may run a tad bit big. My dog is kind of in between sizes on many things. I love the snap buckle on this martingale and they last for years. Can't go wrong for the price!
