These convenient trays are specifically designed to work with the PetSafe ScoopFree Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box, and because they’re completely disposable, you never have to see, touch or smell messy waste. Each tray is pre-filled with 4.5 pounds of Sensitive Crystals cat litter that's free of perfumes and dyes, and reduces odor better than traditional clay or clumping litter. Simply replace the disposable tray every few weeks, and your ScoopFree cat litter box is just like new.
Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.
Feeding Instructions
Transition Instructions
Most cats adapt easily to ScoopFree boxes and use it within a week. If your cat needs help adjusting, try these tips:
Leave your cat's old litter box next to the ScoopFree box.
Add a few handfuls of your cats old litter to the ScoopFree litter tray and add a few handfuls of the ScoopFree crystal litter in your cat's old litter box.
Stop cleaning the old litter box. As the old litter becomes more shallow and dirty, your cat should start using the cleaner ScoopFree box.
If your cat is startled by the raking noise, turn off the ScoopFree box and scoop waste manually for a few days until your cat is used to the new box.
If you have a kitten under 6 months old, we recommend leaving the box unplugged and scooping waste manually. You can start getting her used to using the litter box with these tips.
Kittens have a natural reflex to use the bathroom after eating, playing, or napping. Put your kitten in the litter box after these activities to help her associate the litter tray with the instinct.
Place the litter box away from the food and water bowl. Cats prefer not to use the bathroom near where they eat and drink.
Put the litter box in a quiet, visible place where she can get to it quickly. Getting all the way across the house to find the litter box could result in accidents. The location should also be safe and quiet so your kitten won't be startled or distracted.
Keep the box clean. Scoop waste often and change the litter tray every few weeks. Cats and kittens prefer a clean box.
Stir the litter crystals once a week to distribute saturated crystals. Kittens pee more often than adult cats, so the litter box will get dirty more quickly.
Instructions
Your cat's age, health, and diet also affect her waste. You might need to replace the litter tray more often if your cat is under 6 months old, is over 10 years old, has health problems, or eats cat food high in crude fiber, ash, and byproducts.
Never add litter to your ScoopFree Litter Box or use another brand or type of litter. The crystal Litter in the disposable litter tray is formulated specially for ScoopFree litter boxes.
ScoopFree litter trays can be used by themselves as portable, disposable litter boxes when you're on the road with your cat. Manually scoop the waste under the waste trap flap or replace the tray when needed. Mix the litter daily to reduce odors.

Crystal Litter Maintenance
Place the ScoopFree litter box away from areas of high humidity, such as bathrooms, showers, and basements. Since the crystal litter controls odor by absorbing moisture, having extra moisture in the air will shorten the life of the tray. Try placing it in a room with moving air to pull away moisture, like a room with a fan.
If your cat consistently urinates in the same spot, try stirring the crystals occasionally to help distribute saturated crystals.
Cats with diets that are high in crude fiber and ash content will produce more solid waste, which can prematurely fill the waste trap. Consider changing your cat’s diet to a food with no byproducts or fillers.
Additional Instructions
Only dispose of used cat litter in trash. Do not flush, bury or dispose of it outdoors, in gutters or storm drains to avoid environmental contamination.
Not for internal use. Not meant for use as compost or as a traction aid.
Store in a cool, dry place. Product filled by weight; some settling may occur.

FAQ
What are ScoopFree litter crystals made of? The blue crystal litter is made of a silica gel. The crystals are non-toxic and perfectly safe for people and animals if eaten accidentally. Silica gel is an inert substance that’s mined from the earth. A derivative of silica gel is used in many powered drinks and soups as an anti-clumping agent. If your pet eats a couple of crystals or small bites of litter, he should be perfectly fine. Just provide your pet with water. The crystals will pass through his system. However, you should make sure your pet doesn't eat a large amount of litter. Contact your vet if you notice any changes in your pet's behavior or health or if you suspect your pet has eaten more than a few bites of any type of litter at one time.If your dog often tries to eat your cat's litter, you can take extra steps to keep your dog out of the litter box.
Can I reuse the litter tray by throwing out the old litter and adding new litter? Using the litter tray for more than 30 days per cat may result in urine leakage and tray breakage.
How big are the litter trays? Litter trays are 22” x 14-1/2” x 2-1/2”. The usable litter bed area is 14” x 14”. ScoopFree Free litter trays do not include lids and can be nested, allowing them to be stored in a smaller space.
How do I change the litter tray? When the litter is saturated or the waste trap is full, simply place the cover on the used litter tray and throw it away. Replace the used litter tray with a new one.
How can I make the trays last longer? ScoopFree litter trays won't last forever, but each tray can give you up to 30 days of freshness without scooping. Have at least 1 litter box per cat. Many experts recommend having 1 litter box for every cat plus an additional litter box. 3 cats can use the same ScoopFree litter box, but you'll have to replace the trays more often and you might see litter box bullying.

About PetSafe Scoopfree Litter Box
Take a Break From Litter Duty
PetSafe's ScoopFree Automatic Litter Box lets you take a break from scooping—for good. This self-cleaning system rakes through the litter, pushing waste into a covered trap at one end of the tray. Odors and liquid waste are absorbed by the quick-drying crystal litter. And you can rest easy, because your days of endless scooping are over.
Fresh and Clean Every Time
Every time kitty needs to go, she'll step into a dry, freshly cleaned litter box—the kind cats prefer. The motorized rake sweeps new waste into the covered compartment, waiting 20 minutes after your cat uses the box so she won't be startled. Because it's automatic, the ScoopFree box stays clean for weeks at a time. One tray lasts 20-30 days before needing to be replaced, for single-cat homes.
3 Simple Steps
1. Load It
Lift the box and slide a disposable litter tray underneath. It only takes a minute!
2. Leave It
ScoopFree automatically rakes the waste into a covered trap, so you can relax.
3. Toss It
Replace the soiled tray every few weeks with a fresh one.
Fast-Drying Crystals for Odor Control
The blue silica crystals in each disposable tray are five times more effective at odor reduction than clay or clumping litters. Liquids are trapped by the leakproof liner, and the crystals work fast to absorb them on contact. A dry litter box is less prone to bacterial growth—and the smell that comes with it

Will this work for my 25 lb. cat?
Answer by • Jul 16, 2019
The ScoopFree Sensitive Crystal Cat Litter Tray Refills used with the ScoopFree Original Automatic Cat Litter Box or the ScoopFree Ultra Automatic Cat Litter Box can be used for any sized cat.
I’ve had this liter box/liter for over a year now and have never had a problem. I used to only have to change twice a month for 2 cats. Since last month, I have noticed that I have been changing it much more frequently, about once a week. There is absolutely no odor control. I’m highly considering changing my liter box all together to avoid this liter. This liter is much too expensive to be so problematic. It’s a shame because I really was loving this liter box.

Great but Expensive
Our cats are very picky when it comes to their cat box. We have the best luck with the white, the blue is okay, and the purple is a no go. HOWEVER the white one is the most expensive. We have been using these for years, and the most expensive ones were $15 a piece, today they are $23-$24 a piece. at a point in the past year they were as much as $28. This is outrageous. That being said, our cats are so spoiled that we go back to a standard box to try and save money, and they wont use it.

If you have a cat this is the way to go!
I bought this a few years ago for my cat and I’m so glad I did! She has two litters boxes in the same room. She pees in the scoop free box and poops in the other with regular litter. It’s so easy when it comes to change the scoop free! I love the lavender and I think my Cat prefers it too over the unscented. Scoop free will always have me as a customer for as long as I have a cat. And after that they will always have my good recommendation!

Inflation...
I would just like to add that the price now is outrageous. For six,the price went up 30$ not 5 or 10 but 30$ ,I would not purchase again only the litter box and trays go together...unbelievable!!!

Where's the lid?
I purchased two of these systems. The ones that came with the self cleaning boxes had lids. This is important to me because I am getting chemo and cannot clean the boxes or inhale any of the fumes. The picture on the package of the refills show lids but there are none. I purchased a six pack based on the original box. I need lids to safeguard my health.

Scoopfree liter
It's ok..wish it had a little more in the bag. Will try the scented one next. Now to figure out how to get the scoop lid to close more after the liter is scooped into compartment.
