Whether you're working late, going out, or feel like staying in bed a little longer, the power to feed your pet is in the palm of your hands—no more rushing to the bowl and pouring. The Wi-Fi-enabled feeder connects to your home's wireless router and works with your Android or Apple smartphone, giving you the ability to feed your cat or dog no matter your location. Use the app to customize and schedule up to 12 meals a day, with portions ranging from 1/8 cup to 4 cups to fit your pet's feeding needs. The Smart Feed is powered by an adaptor with an optional battery backup (batteries not included) and works with iPhone and iPod devices iOS 9 or later and most Android smartphones 5.0 or later.

Key Benefits
  • With smartphone programming, you can control your dog or cat's feeding from anywhere using your Apple iPhone or Android smartphone—working late will no longer make you miss dinner time!
  • Customizable meal times allow you to program up to 12 meals to feed on your pet's schedule, and the Feed Now option allows you to feed your pet outside normal feeding times.
  • Meals can be dispensed from 1/8 cups to 4 cups to fit your pet's unique feeding needs while the unique Slow Feed option allows the food to dispense slowly over a 15-minute period to help prevent bloating and vomiting in gobblers.
  • Monitor your pet's feeding from anywhere for peace of mind—it even feeds on schedule as programmed if Wi-Fi connection is lost or feeder is offline.
  • Unique conveyor design dispenses most shapes and sizes of dry and semi-moist food and helps prevent jams while the pet-proof dispenser keeps prying paws from sneaking food.

Easy setup, userfriendly, and well worth the money!

Purchased this feeder because I'm gone from the house for work for 10 hours a day, 5 days a week. My breed of cat has a high metabolism and it's best recommended to feed her smaller amounts of food through out the day. ***Set-up took me as much time as it takes to pull it out of the box and plug it into the wall and download the app. The app itself is super user friendly and can be programmed by using common sense and without any instruction. I loaded up my cat's dry kibble and primed it until the food was dispensed. I then programmed a timed automatic test run and it worked beautifully. I then tested the manual feed from my app and it worked perfectly again. ***My cat was super curious Purchased this feeder because I'm gone from the house for work for 10 hours a day, 5 days a week. I was worried she would be afraid of the machine or the noise, but she wasn't at all. It makes a super quiet mechanical dispensing noise as the food dispenses, unless you have a super skittish kitty this should be a problem. I did switch out the provided packaged bowl for my cats ceramic bowl due to my cat's smaller size (personal bowl matches the width of the provided bowl). It took two tries to figure out where to position the bowl but now it's perfect every time. My kitty ran right over the first time she heard the food dispense. ***Also note-worthy is that you can now turn off the top feed button through the app settings. I believe they list it as the "Child Lock" feature. So you don't have to tape things over it anymore. So far, I haven't had any issues with my cat trying to knock the feeder over or break into it. She may just be buying time to plan her cleaver attack on the machine but so far so good. The feeder itself is sturdy and I think my 8 lb cat would have a hard time knocking it over unless she took a full running ninja leap at it. ***I will update if I ever run into any problems in the future. But being able to plan out different size meals throughout the day is already proving to be a life-saver! … more

    My cat loves this

    By on

My cat has the type of personality that yells at me in the morning to feed him. At first the noise when it hits the bowl intimidated him and now when he hears it he sprits to the feeder it’s comic! I highly recommend this to all my friends being on the go and easy to program with one push of a button from your phone, not having to get out of bed priceless. It notifies you when he’s fed too.

    Does what it's supposed to

    By on

Great idea and almost great product. The feeder allows you to program scheduled feed times and also feed in between them. If you combine it with a security camera, you can deliver feedings as if you were there. The battery enables it to function even during power outages. The capacity is large enough for extended times away from home. The only potential issue is that if any of the plastic parts break, your pets are out of luck!

    Reliable and better than PetNet!

    By on

This works great! The software is reliable and I don’t have to worry that my cat is fed. I initially bought the Petnet feeder but their software has so many compatibility issues it would constantly go offline and say the cat was fed when it was not. This feeder does not do that! I also love the slow feeder option.

    Great Investment!

I use this for my one cat as I live alone and often am traveling on weekends. I got a great deal on this on Cyber Monday and the peace of mind alone is worth the price. The mechanical noise it makes when it is preparing to dispense food may be a little alarming to your pet at first. It took a few tries at first to get my cat used to the sound, but now he recognizes it and immediately runs toward it as soon as he hears it. The SmartFeed app is pretty basic but the most important part is that IT WORKS! Scheduling feedings and the amount to feed is a breeze. My only reasons for the 4-star review are: no HomeKit/Siri compatibility (I really hope they add it soon!), and the holder and I use this for my one cat as I live alone and often am traveling on weekends. My only reasons for the 4-star review are: no HomeKit/Siri compatibility (I really hope they add it soon!), and the holder and bowl that come with the feeder are a little too big for my cat to eat from (it would be an appropriate size for dogs). I use a small glass dish that my cat is used to eating from (he’s used the same one since he was a baby) so he is used to the size as well as hearing the kibbles hit the dish. Because of the way the dispenser is designed to pour food, sometimes the kibbles miss the dish. But that’s more of a “me”-issue. I highly recommend this if you are constantly rushing home to feed a pet. It works the way it should and I would absolutely purchase this again. … more

    Love my new feeder!

    By on

I was replacing an old feeder that I only use when I travel. I love this one and will use it all the time. It took my cats a couple days to get over the noise of the food hitting the metal bowl, but now they know it is time to eat when that noise happens, so come running. I love the ability to change the schedule on the fly. My old unit was very difficult to set and I hated to use it. So far no issues with food getting stuck, I use Orijen, the kibble is small and hard. I would really recommend this unit for people with a busy lifestyle.

Best auto feeder I could find

This thing is great, but does seem to be an initial design, or still early in it's development. No issues with it, but I feel for the price point, they should add some features. Here's my suggestions: 1. Add a rechargeable battery pack or make it so the feeder can charge rechargeable batteries. 2. Add a sensor that will alert via the app when the hopper is getting low on food. 3. Put the power inlet higher up and on the back of the unit rather than the bottom so there is no risk of electro-schock if the floor on which the feeder sits becomes wet/saturated. 4. Make this device more compatible with smart home capabilities. 5. For those complaining about the loud noise of food hitting the bowl, I agree it is extremely loud and can be heard throughout my house. That said, no matter where my cat is, he hears the food drop and runs to the bowl. I would guess the manufacturer designed it this way so the pet can easily know when their bowl is refilled. However I don't think having noisy feedings is necessary, and they could easily fix this by providing a silicone insert for the bowl. If they apply my suggestions this would be the go to smart feeder for everyone for many years. I hope I get a discount. :) … more

    Seems to work

    By on

Have had it a month so not sure about durability. A little spendy but works well when you're on vacation. Did not get knocked over or jam. Need one for each pet though as one of ours gobbles it up before the other can get much. APP works great. Handy to give snacks when you want or to schedule feedings. Could use a sensor to tell when it is empty. APP alerts do tell when it feeds each time.

    It's a no-brainer

    By on

I appreciate not having to think wether I fed our cats morning, noon and night. The portions come out precisely and on a slow feed. I'm told when the cats have been fed. I like how this feeder can be plugged in, it takes the worry out of wondering when the batteries will die. I've been really pleased with this feeder.

    Great Feeder

    By on

This feeder is great. Really easy to setup and set automatic feed schedules. Being connected to WiFi is really cool. I can give the cats snacks throughout the day while I'm at work. The feeder is loud but you'll get used to it. At first the cats were scared of the really loud sound of the food hitting the stainless steel but now they know the sound means it's time to eat.
