I just started setting this up two days ago and will have to update this review when the dog is trained (or not trained ...as the case may be). Here are a few comments on my early experience. -In positioning the transmitter, I couldn't test it without anchoring it to a wall somewhere, and I didn't want to put holes in the wall at more than one place but had to go ahead and anchor the transmitter anyway. The chosen spot was about 8' high. My yard has about a 10% grade, and I feared the loss of signal at ground level in the low spot with the transmitter placed so high, This did not happen. Over this small grade, the transmitter's signal was detectable everywhere along the boundary, even in I just started setting this up two days ago and will have to update this review when the dog is trained (or not trained ...as the case may be). If your habitat consists of a mixture, e.g., of fallen leaves, grass and dirt, and if you occasionally drop this gadget, you will lose it very quickly against the heterogeneous substrate. After the first drop and temporary loss, I solved this problem by placing a small piece of bright red tape on each side of the gadget's central prominence. - Both in setting up boundary flags, and in my first two outings with the dog, I found that boundaries in a given direction were just approximate, varying from one trial to the next over a distance of 1-3 ft. So far, I've found the system to do what it says it will do, and to be easy to set up. I will try to update this review in a couple of weeks. … more

I have four dogs on this containment system. I have some quirks to work out and need to call customer care. The old system worked for many years. I love it!

  • Easy Solution

Our Lab was trained within a week. He doesn't go near the flags anymore. We can open the front door without worrying about him bolting! Only down fall for me is, I would rather change batteries than charge a collar ! Otherwise worth the money!

  • Great system

We did not want to tear up our yard for a underground system, so we decided to try the Stay and Play System. So far so good, we are still in the training mode but our two 75lb and 85lb labs were trained with electric collars and usually just a tone is all they need. But for reinforcement, I am setting up the flags that were included. I did have to buy a second collar.

  • Keep your dog at home!

Great for keeping my dog in our yard. Just the right distance when used on High #8 or a 1 acre house lot.

It has worked perfect for our very stubborn beagle! After less than 2 weeks of training she stops in her tracks at the sound of the warning beep.

  • Our life is so much easier with this wonderful fence!

    By on

We have 5 dogs with sizes ranging from 50lbs. Down too 8 lbs. We had literally no training to do with our dogs. The largest of our dogs is a Pitbull and she was just amazing with the collar. She just heard the beeps and detoured in the opposite direction. Our other dogs did the same. We live literally in the woods and we all have pice of mind. I highly recommend this fence!! You won't regret it! The rechargeable collars are a plus!

  • Easy to use and my dog hasn't wondered since

I literally set up the system and put the collar on my dog. I knew about the size of my yard,so I set the perimeter. My dog hasn't left the yard since.
