My daughter's dog is part Rotweiler and French Mastiff, and is devious. She was digging under the fence. I drove stakes into the ground to keep her in. She then began jumping over the fence. I made the fence higher. She is growing, and developed legs of a gazelle. I got really tired of chasing after her. Thought of an underground wire, but not thrilled with the idea of setting the wire into the ground. Then saw the reviews for wireless radio fencing from Petsafe, and others. I decided to get this from Chewy because they've been great for customer service on the few of times I needed. Well, I set up the transmitter to keep her inside the fence by about 10 feet. Easy setup, read the instructions. We let the dog out with the collar on. My daughter didn't go through the recommended training with the dog. The dog ran though the boundary a couple times, once over the fence, so after each time we raised the sting level. We would watch the dog when she went out, and would call her back when she got close to the boundary. The dog did, learn that the tones pre-warned of a sting. We've had this four days. Today I turned my back on her to get a reward biscuit from the kitchen. I think she thought she'd make a break for the fence. I heard her yelp, as I came from the kitchen, and she came running back to the house. We'll see if she keeps testing the boundary. … more

Most Helpful Critical Review
Read All 4 Critical ReviewsDescription is misleading
By Labrador on Feb 12, 2021
The product description is misleading. It states the range is up to 3/4 mile when actually it's only up to 105 feet. It would be fine to use in a crowded subdivision with very small yard, but not for a large yard.

My dog is unfazed by the correction
By alice on Nov 11, 2020
I bought this because our new yard is small, close to other houses and isn't easily fence-able. Unfortunately this isn't for "stubborn dogs", because my dog could care less that he is being shocked and still crosses the correction line. I've checked several times and it is on and functioning correctly. Unfortunately I can't recommend this and wish there was a better option.

I love it. my dog doesn't agree with me
By thatone26 on Aug 3, 2020
Took my 15 minutes to set this up. I didn't have time to "test" it. I jest threw the collar on my dog and went about my business. My dog has yet to go snortin around the neighbors dog. Shoot fire, I'm thinkin bout gettin one for myself, so I don't go wanderin when I get to drinkin.

Doesn’t work for large homes with sloping property
By PetSafe on Jul 18, 2020
Does not work well for large houses on hilly properties. Needed to return it.

Great investment

Where I live is in the county but I live next to a very busy road. Very easy to set up. Would highly recommend this, to keep your pets safe.

Good Product
By TeresaB on Jan 22, 2020
It worked great but poor planning on my part and going the easy wireless route. Our yard is long and narrow. I didn’t think about the circle (covered area) going into the neighbors yards. So I returned it and getting the wired one.

So far, so good
By Foster on Jan 1, 2020
We recently moved to a rural area, but our property is adjacent to a state highway. Our lab wandered out onto the road so we decided we couldn't wait until we can add more physical fencing. So far, the Stay & Play Wireless fence has kept him safe.

Dog outsmarted it!
By Emily on Nov 2, 2019
This fence worked for a bit. Then or shepherd figured out if he ran fast enough that he wouldn't get hit with the shock. So when we let him out, he bolted about 20 yards past it, then turned &looked at us as of laughing before he trotted off to wherever he wanted to go.
