    It works on rambunctious puppy!

    By on

I was iffy about getting this, unsure if it would work on our hound/husky 7-month-old puppy who gets really hyper, at times, but it does. It took us about two weeks of training every day so he'd know the boundaries before we took him off his lead and used the collar, only, but we expected that with his temperament. We did end up having to turn it up as high as it would go (level 6) because he would run out sometimes on level 5. As much as I hated doing that, it's better than having him get hit by a car on our busy street. After getting shocked once on that setting, he goes nowhere near the boundaries, now. It's given him freedom we wouldn't have been able to give him with a small fenced in area. I was worried that if it stopped working due to a power outage that he'd take off, but he makes no effort to escape our yard, so I don't worry as much, now. The battery lasts for days without charging, as well, with us cutting it off at night while he's on his lead. I put the main unit right above our basement door in our bedroom floor next to an outside wall/window and there's no interference that I've noticed. … more

    Works alright

    By on

It's definitely a viable low cost solution. The barrier is not a rigid line, depending on interference. most areas of my lot only waiver a couple feet on where it triggers the alarm, but one area in particular has an area of about 20' that should be safe but sometimes triggers it. I've had to train the dog to avoid this area.

    Great product

    By on

Bought this product for my energetic, young, 85 pound male dog who loves to chase wildlife outside of my 2 acre lot. The boundaries were adjusted to fit my yard and worked perfectly despite having a moderately sloped lot and the 6" thick wood walls of my log home. I'm so glad I bought this.

Watch out for metal food containers!

    By on

This has worked flawlessly for my sweet and stubborn half lab half tree walker coon hound. But after taking all the precautions about metal to heart i didnt even think about that deep metal container she was eating from. She eats comfortably out of her plastic food bowl now. Duh!

    Good and bad

The product works very well when it’s working. I’ve never gotten this system to last for more than two years. I would like to have more longevity for the amount of the purchase. Otherwise, an awesome product.

Time & patience, it does work.

    By on

We use this for our 6 month old Golden Retriever. It took 2x of getting shocked on #4 setting & he has been doing great on it. Every once in awhile he will try to see how far he can go & then he hears the beeps & decides to come back in our yard.

    Was hoping it would eitk

    By on

If it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t. We set up this system with high hopes. We have trained our dog for two weeks. He is a smart dog and has learned everything else I’ve taught him quickly. However, this system doesn’t give him the shock so he will understand not to go past the flags. It beeps, but no shock. Not going to work.

    This thing is great

    By on

We have a 8 month old border collie with insane herding instincts, and this thing has kept him from herding the deer in the woods behind our backyard. Its great! I love that there was no digging and took very little time for setup. I would definitely recommend it.

    Run away dog

    By on

Wish I had purchased it sooner. It is wonderful. Finally our dog stays in the yard no more jumping the fence and running down the street.
