    Run away dogs!

    By on

I bought 3 of these collars for my rowdy bunch, they broke the barrier and ran off for 2 days! They didnt seem to be bothered at all by the shock. They are Chesapeake Bay retrievers and they still have a fluffy winter coat. I hope thats why they couldnt feel the shock. I plan on shaving the neck and see if that helps like the instructions say.

    Super pricey

While I like the system these collars are super$$$ and only last about a year Ok if you have 1 dog but we have 3 so plan for some ongoing expense if you choose the rechargeable collars

    Pretty Good

    By on

This collar and wireless system has worked great for our German Shepherd. We only have to keep it on the first setting. While my dog was scratching himself he was able to scratch off the collar and it broke. It lasted us 2 years. Other than that, we had no problems.

I have purchased two of these and now need another one. They work great while they work, the problem is ..... they are not lasting very long... they either short out or all together won't turn on anymore. this is a very expensive product to not even last two years.....

My pups are 80 lbs at 8 months and 2-3 hours of training is all it took for them to catch on. Works pretty well. Easy to use.

1st day we worked on training pups seperate, they pay more attention that way. About a half hour each. They did so well learning seperate we brought them out together. This is when they're all about each other and like to run. They did well for about 10 minutes and then decided to bolt out the yard to the neighbor dogs house. Must of had the collars set to low for the 80 lbs , 8 month old beasts. I had them out together a 2nd time and they played fine in the yard for about 10 minutes and tried to see the neighbors dog again. After Making collar adjustments they came right back in the yard from a full run out. I was happy with the result. Now after minimal training, I put their"outside collar" 1st day we worked on training pups seperate, they pay more attention that way. About a half hour each. A bit of inconsistent zone distance is the only con i noticed and it seems not to have the full distance it claims. I would recommend it . … more

    Not happy with this collar

    By on

I have 4 dogs and couldn't decide on which collars would be best, I purchased this one for my stubborn dog, 1st thing I noticed is it did not beep or make any sound which made it very hard to teach my dog, he did finally learn the boundaries, then one day decided if he ran fast enough he didn't get the correction shock, I decided to return this collar and get him one that beeped, and he was smarter then me, because he took off thru the boundaries and managed to break the collar in the woods somewhere and when he came back the collar was gone, a big waste of hard earned money.

This is the 2nd one we've bought. The 1st one fell apart. It works well if it will stay together.
